Well, here’s how the raptor could have gotten the kill:
Step 1: Make sure it’s a good environment to kill the protoceratops
Step 2: do whatever you want and is necessary to kill it, just don’t let it bite you, protoceratops mouths hurt very bad
Such an epic way for an idiot to die; to be remembered in history for it.
I remember seeinlg that fossil in an old discovery chanle walking with Dinosaurs episode called white tips journey that had a fight at some point have that fossil as the end result
That was a dinosaur planet episode,not a walking with dinosaurs one.

Note: In case you haven't gotten the hog/parrot name it is a reference to a children's book series called dinotopia by james gurney in which the humans discover a female protoceratops named bix which one of the characters nicknames "hog-parrot" because protoceratops somewhat resembles a mutant warthog/parrot hybrid and... Well if you encountered a fat little bird-lizard scuttling around on all fours in the desert of Mongolia you'd probably nickname it that too
