Big shoutout to all awesome fellas (especially T0yOta) who motivated me to not give up on my efforts with this video. I deeply appreciate your support
Now a few notes about the run itself: although you can't call this one perfect, I believe at this moment I couldn't have done any better. Of course, there's always an opportunity to spend another couple months to (probably) get a better run, but I'm genuinely happy with this one. The game was very, very generous on bugs when I was practising Necropolis, that's why I don't want to go back there and see how my gauss cannon deals no splash damage or rocket launcher bugs out in the middle of the fight.
So far the biggest issue here is one minor visual glitch in the middle of the run but I think it's barely noticeable.

The boss fight is literally perfection.

Exactly! From the first phase where you stare at each other circling around an arena to the absolute clusterfuck that is the second phase! My favourite boss fight ever, and the music reflects the battle extremely well too
yeah i think that's where doom 2016 has eternal by far, the boss fights were so lame in eternal

hey, hi, I have seen many of your videos and your exquisite playability in them, if it is not too much trouble, I would like to know if you play in controller or keyboard and mouse, and what keys do you use, I would like to be able to play as you
I play with kb and mouse. Regarding the key binds: set them yourself so that they are the most comfortable and easy for you to reach. For example, you can use the keys around WASD, like E, R, numbers, shift/caps or something. As for the mouse, if you have any additional keys built in it, I'd recommend using them as well to bind your weapons / equipment. Once you're used to quickswitching with these key binds, your gameplay will improve. I don't have any other advice, tbh. Good luck!

Holy sh*t! the amount of bullets firing syncing up to the music is (chef's kiss) perfection and not the mention how accurate the style of gameplay is very Doomslayer lore accurate.
Am I the only one that thinks 2016's hell levels feel more... Hellish?

Yep I find it better stylistically than the one in eternal. It's not as exaggerated, imo.

@@fatmetro the weapons that sound awful in eternal are regular shotgun ssg and heavy cannon
i would have also liked 2016 rl (rocket launcher) sound in eternal tho it got used for the tyrant
I would have never thought to use the Quad for the Mancubus pistol challenge, in my many many playthroughs I always painstakingly whittled them down and hoped that a headshot would make it flop over LMAO
That makes things much easier
Why didnt you just do damage with other weapons then when in glory kill use pistol

@@somwelch9776 Not necessarily. I prefer the graphics (style/art design/theme) to Doom 2016 way more, but that’s really it.

Hottake, but I hate a big chunk of Eternal's art style. I think Eternal's a very mixed bag aesthetically in my opinion.
UAC Atlantica and Blood Swamps and The Holt look great, but things like Taras Nabad, DOOM Hunter Base, Final Sin, Cultist Base, the sewers of Super Gore Nest etc... Look really bad to me.
@@walkingdrumstepmachine247 Although I don't like the artstyle of eternal as well, I think 2016's design is also not without a flaw. Some levels look almost identical, I'm talking about UAC levels of course.
As much as i like 2016, i understand that people would not like to see the same artstyle extended for 2 whole games.

@@fatmetro I'm not sure I entirely hate Eternal's art style, I just think it's a very mixed bag. Some aspects look great, other parts look and feel pretty bad
But anyone else notice how Eternal's lighting / shading is really really flat and the contrast between dark and lit up areas is very poorly utilized?
I almost feel that's an objective downgrade in that sense.
Also Final Sin has gotta be the most aesthetically bland and flat level in FPS history.
@@fatmetro I think an environment that really stands out to me in Eternal is Nekravol and UAC Atlantica, those levels genuinely look fantastic to me.

What runes do you use and think are optimal?
You know this may be a weird question, but why do people think DOOM 2016 on Nightmare is "super easy" and a "baby" game compared to Eternal's Nightmare?
I'm playing DOOM 2016 on Nightmare right now and I AM VEGA and Argent D'Nur in particular are infinitely harder and more punishing than anything in Eternal.
What are people talking about?
Ye it's easy if you cheese everything with siege mode. If you play "fair" though, might be challenge because of low amount of health drops, unlike in Eternal.
@@fatmetro I find it tough as shit... Lol... Like not even the SGN ML compares to how hard VEGA and Argent D'Nur are.

@@goldheartodyssey4486 Nah I wouldn't say so. I mean in worst case scenario VEGA core can quickly become a total clusterfuck but Argent D'nur is a bit easier in that sense.
