    Here is a piece of music I wrote with sounds from the updated Novation Peak. I use the Linnstrument 128 to play everything. I play the solo live over a track I recorded in Logic Pro x.

    Just stumbled upon this, these two seem to pair so nicely together. Great playing, loved it!

      Thank you so much for the kind words! They really do fit well together. If you don’t want to spend an obscene amount of money on a midi controller (Linnstrument) you can always try out the new Launchpad X. It’s replaced my Linnstrument for the time being. I’ve got a few videos up on TH-cam covering the LaunchPad with the Peak if you want to check those out.

      I just saw that video it sounds great too. I've been looking at the Peak and LinnStrument for a while. I actually just pulled the trigger on both after watching this, will be here Monday! ;) ill have to check out the launchpad too!

      Adam Vadala-Roth Thanks!
      The Peak and Linnstrument (and OP-1) are by far my favorite instruments. If you can spare the money, go for it!

    I have a Linn in mind for the new year ... but really pleased with the Peak, especially in its new 1.2 modes ... I had been wondering about a 002R (to go with it and my NF1-m and MicroMonsta) as it's MPE enabled ... but wondering if I'm duplicating ... I'm a fan of modern sounds rather vintage replication ... Omnisphere, Razor and Kaivo rather than Arturia and Uhe when it comes to VST's ...

    Damn this is nice. Has that sweet 80s Sci-fi soundtrack vibe to tit. At some point I'll have to bite the bullet and buy the Peak.

    Love this thing. Just got mine.
    Do you care to explain how you have your LinnStrument/Synth setup?

  • @justdope1963
    @justdope1963 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Did you ever find yourself wishing you have the larger Linnstrument? 200 pads seems ideal, but the price tag is kind of brutal for just a controller with no synth engine.

    • @AndEcho
      @AndEcho  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I never miss the extra pads.

    Is it possible to use x/y axes and polyaftertouch but set pitch-bend mode off?

    how long have yo been practicing the linnstrument? (did you play keys before)... you can hold the solo nice, and it’s a a great song, reminds me of ambient namlook!!! thanks!

    • @AndEcho
      @AndEcho  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think I’ve had the Linnstrument for a couple of years and that’s how long I’ve been practicing. I did not play keyboards or any other instruments that produce notes, (I’m a drummer by trade) and that’s the reason I got a Linnstrument. It’s perfect for someone with a limited knowledge of music theory.
      Thanks for the kind words!

      i’m only 1 years in my beginners practice, time and space limits me to getting it on my commute... using a boppad(with my phone) or a deluge(with the same note layout as the linnstrument). i like your work, inspires me. Anything that gets near to the namlook’s level of synth mastery is indeed a compliment!
