I can't describe it really, but listen to this song and imagine meeting your dad and it goes surprisingly so well it's as if I knew him my whole life. and then you show him what he missed out on, but at the same time its not to degrade. YAP YAP INCOMING! BACKSTORY IS NEEDED AND IS CRAZY...... two years ago i said, "Imma be a dj and show my dad what he is missing out on". not even two months went by, I went to GA to support my Uncle Franko Carino (Limp Bizkit) (not actually my uncle, but he's like an uncle :)). as soon I was able to, I networked for the first time with the two DJs who are from 904. It went well, and I was given a challenge: show em what I got. yap yap yap so I play for 45 minutes and made a great first impression. energy is high, I'm actually like...living this dream? after closing,m Franko links me up with a promoter named Max Michaels.. I meet up with him the following week and when I say my name he went "no fucking shit, are you Perry's son?" I confirmed it with him and sure shit, Max promoted my dad's industrial band in the 90s and 2000s. So I was fucking in! I just had to prep my first show and then the following week, I was spinning Resurgence Goth Night at Myth Nightclub. but I needed him to be there. I spun for a year almost every week.
I can now say I have that void filled. the shit that happens when a dad leaves is wild.
