Andy, Thank you so much for showcasing our Great Champaign County Fair!! Your video shows how wonderful our fair truly is! The competition in every barn is over the top, from over 600 head Hog show, Huge Beef and Dairy cattle shows, awesome Goat show, Sheep and all the others. If you want to place at the top, you will need a lot of luck and bring your A Game in every barn and species! It's amazing how many people give their time, sweat and hard work to make our fair one of the best in the country. The Fair Board is top notch and always there for all. They don't get enough "Thank Yous" I am sure. The money that is poured in to this fair from all the sponsors so all the youth of Champaign County can have a awesome fair. As a parent who's Son shows at Champaign County, I am very proud to tell people where we are from. If you are watching this video and the first week of August you are around Urbana, Ohio...stop on in to the fair! There is something for everyone. Great food, people and spotless fairgrounds. It's worth the trip! Thanks again Andy for showing the world something as a 4H/ FFA kid and today a parent the County Fair I am proud to say we are involved in!
That's the nicest cleanest County Fair I have seen. Most fairs around here are 175 plus years old and they look it. Have one fair this year celebrating it's 200th year 🎂🎂🎂🎂🎂 it's my favorite. Thanks for the great vid.

Amazing , can’t believe the number of livestock projects and the overall size of your country fair. All six of our children were in 4H, from clover buds to graduation. My wife and I were leaders/teachers in our club. The kids always put 4H member and later 4H graduate on job applications. They all very successful! (Ages 35 to 53) Thank You, great video.

Looks like the fair was fun. Loved the tractor pulls at the end! And the best part for me is that no rabbits were harmed during the fair or the making of this video! 🚜!

That is a big county fair, Andy. I look forward to our's each year but usually don't make it. Mostly I'm there for the livestock, tractors and old engines. Hopefully this year will be different. Appreciate you taking us along.

Thanks for sharing this Andy! Your county fair puts our little poduck Tuscarawas County fair to shame! My wife and I started several years ago to try and visit as many county fairs as we could and we have now put this one in our sights! Long trip and an overnight stay, but it looks like it will be worth it!

We are lucky to have a great county fair also. As a 10 year 4-H and FFA member...I am well aware of the work and dedication it takes to run a fair and exhibit both!👍

Ours are fading or just got so thin with venderes. Nobody wants to pay the hi rent. So you have to go further north to have any fun

Wow looks to me like everyone was having a blast . Those folks have done a great job setting that place up . I never did any shows myself but Ive been to a few . My little sister did Hogs chickens and baking when she was in FFA . We did not have the tractor drags like you folks but we did have a Tractor driving comp . Any ways I really enjoyed this Andy thanks for taking us along . Kinda feel like I should Thank those folks for all the work they did setting things up for those kids .
I sit as a fair board member and yes, it is a lot of work and time, but when you see the looks on those kids faces, makes it all worth it. Thanks for watching

I would love to visit its one of the nicest things to do in my opinion we have it here also but on a much smaller scale and about the animals a lot of people vote against they say its animals abuse so thats the country we live in nowerdays a shame we should be proud on all the farmers worldwide thanks have a good day greetings from a Dutch dairyfarmer
It is sad Menno, Our country is like that too. We are very fortunate in the county we Iive in. Our fair is still an agricultural fair, with more animal numbers than 30 years ago. All those animals looked abused didn't they lol. Thanks Menno

That county fair is a Class Act. The buildings look very well maintained and the grounds are immaculate. Very well run county fair with lots of hard working people to make it happen. Love the tractor pulls.

I grew up in MPLS MN and the State Fair was the biggest event of the year and I never missed it even though I had severe Hay Fever allergies which effected me the worst in early fall August/September my favorite thing to was go to all the animal barns and Machinery Hill and in Minnesota its very big. Back in the days 60s 70s there were probably more than 20 different Tractor Companies so for me it was fun. Now I have lived in FLORIDA since 1995 and haven't been to that Fair since 1986. We had planned to go there last fall but for the 1st time in history the Fair was canceled I just hope this Covid thing ends soon. Just the economic losses will never be made up but peoples lives are more important of course. So let's hope things change soon and by the way your local fair looks magnificent and fun.

Andy I live in the middle of Fort Worth area, we are just east of downtown.... our school district is independent of the Fort Worth. Our district is the only one in the city that supports animal husbandry. We bought a old roller skating venue and converted it into a livestock barn where our students (and other district kids) can keep their livestock. We believe the kids need to the opportunity to know about how to care for animals as an extension of their education.
Thats awesome Cecil. Thank you so much for doing that. Working animals is such a great education and experience for kids. Kids can learn almost every lifeskill needed to survive in life.

We haven't had any of them at our fair yet. I have a neighbor that raises them and shows them. I think they showed at Louisville last year.
very nice fair facility, rivals and surpasses the quality of many state fair facilities. I too have many fond memories of weeks spent showing animals at Iowa fairs. It is very good to see you making it a valuable experience for farm kids growing up today.

This video brings back a lot of good memories. My brothers and I were in 4-H all through our school years so we have done the animal shows. I also followed the county fair circuit for two summers. It was a lot of work and a lot of fun too. There should be more activities like that again. Thanks for sharing the video.

Andy I to am on our county fair board. Our fair is owned by the Boone county Granges, was curious who owned and operated your fair. Always like to see someone proud of their fair. I will have to come visit it sometime. I live in northern Illinois, it's about 5 hour trip. Enjoy your video's very much.
Our fair is Board owned and operated. Theres 26 Board members that work their hinneys off to make it work. Also, our county extension agent works super hard on the 4-H part and makes it run smooth. We are so lucky we have these people in our county.

You'll love this, supposed to be a 10 day fair this year, currently management hasn't been able to manage a 4 day fair😂🤣
Splitting everything up to just a few days, going in shifts.. then somehow all the market animals have to be there for the auction...
The day the steers go in, they are to be on the grounds at 5pm, somehow weighed, split up into classes (by wt.) Washed, fit and in the show ring by 6pm....
We've been fighting this for a few months already, management says take it or don't show...

We are Ed. Thats crazy what they have done to your fair. Do it in an hour? That takes days. Sad sad sad. A lot of county fairs have turned to crap, Our Fair Board owns and operates our fair. As long as we can hold together a Board like we have now, it will continue to be an agricultural fair. Thanks Ed
Our girls took rabbits for 4-H and it was so much fun! They were both chosen for Rabbit Queen. Love going to the Champaign County Fair!
Wow I'm really impressed on the size of the barns. Man I see all the coolers and fans and I hate to be paying that electric bill. Did not realize that ffa showed animals. Wish our ffa got involved in that way back 22yrs ago. Thanks for sharing Andy.

I miss those days from my youth. Both my boys played sports so they missed this but my daughter in law has goats, chickens and horses so hopefully my granddaughter will want to do this when she gets old enough. I’m going to my first chicken show this coming Thursday so hopefully I’ll have a decent video. Great tour and thank you and the staff for supporting these kids.

I think my neighbors IH 1066 called Busted Budget was there and did fairly good. They pull in the light pro class. It's runs and looks pretty good.
