The vocals, the drumming, the atmosphere, the twists and turns…all those things are amazing, but what really puts Sleep Token in a class above is the lyricism. Not only what he says , but the poetic and nuanced delivery. I’ve been listening to music a long time, and This is my all-time favorite album. When you follow the story of the lyrics and vibe through the EP’s and three albums, Euclid may be to most finally crafted album closer of all time. So many references, and a nice bow tie on years of anguish, and sadness. He’s “someone New.”…..just perfect song writing
Sleep token is my favorite band but that’s a ridiculous thing to say. There are a BUNCH of bands worth paying attention to! Bilmuri, Periphery, House of protection, Zeal & Ardor, Loathe, Vianova, Bloodywood. Just to name a few. So much great music
ST uses genres to convey emotion and mood. For example, hip hop/rnb is laid back and almost trying to make a point, as with metal and screaming he is pissed and upset. This bad is nothing short of genius and so epic. Worship!!!!
@@davidpwolfe - There's little nods all the way through Euclid, but you don't always realise until you're listening and then think "What is it...? What feels so familiar about that bit? Where have I heard this before?", then realisation dawns and it hits you like a sledgehammer and it's *such* a wonderful feeling when your brain clicks in and makes all the connections.

Sleep Token is the only band worth paying attention to. No other artist I've found cares about their craft as much as my boys. Worship ❤

Bro, your musical instincts and acumen are high. There were so many times you called the parts coming up. I was impressed and you earned a sub;)
TYSM! I really appreciate that. Welcome aboard!
Loved this! Also shoutout to the Tallneck in the back!
Glad you enjoyed it! That set was so fun to put together.
Worship.
On Euclíd: "I don't need it to be heavy, I just want it to open up and be huge." Dude, you had no idea... :D
I am LIVING for your facial expressions 😄

I've actually already heard the first two! I just didn't get the chance to make TH-cam videos for them.
Yes. *This Play Will Become Your Tomb* - P&TY - and YES. POST-genre. 100%
Check out The Night Does not Belong to God to hear the call back that Euclid is using!
Also a reference to 'When the Bough Breaks' from EP1
Oh interesting, I definitely didn't notice that connection!
@@Gleam89Also, 'Are You Really Ok?' is 'When The Bough Breaks' part II. Or at least inspired by the same event.

Please listen to Toxicity!
I definitely will! I've got a list of bands I'm working on and I'll be rotating through those each week.
Hey! Do you plan on reacting to Linkin Park's Reanimation? It's literally my favorite from them 🥲
Definitely! It's in my list of LP stuff to get to.
It's the first LP album I ever bought on CD and listened to on repeat when I was a kid
