Thank you, thank you, thank you! I'm a self-taught quilter & have shied away from curved piecing because it looked so complicated. Thank you for showing us how easy it really is (I was thinking all those curves had to be clipped...UGH!) I am really enjoying your tutorials...thanks again :o)
I like the double pinning. I have just started a drunkards path quilt and learned to sew with concave side down (the inside curve) while you did just the opposite with excellent results. So far my blocks are coming out nicely. Thanks for the tutorial. Always learn something from you,
Good timing! I just started a drunkard's path border for my quilt. I previously made one a few years back and it's my favorite quilt border. I make the border in a Seminole pattern so the curved portion of the blocks are serpentine around the quilt. It's hard to describe but if you take a few blocks and lay them out (each block rotated like Susan did with the red/white blocks) and make a long strip and trim like you would a Seminole border, you'll have a fantastic border. You would need to add small scrap pieces to the sides of each block to keep your quarter inch seam when trimming. It's a lot of fuss but well worth the effort. I also have made so many drunkard paths that I don't use pins. Did I mention I love sewing curved pieces???
Another great video. Thank you. Love your pins. I keep dropping mine on the floor. Theses would be easier to find lol. Can’t wait for your next video🧵🧵🇨🇦
Thanks for another great tutorial, they're much appreciated! Are you able to provide a link for the pins you are using or tell us where to get them please? Thank you 😊
The most useful drunkards path tutorial I have seen. Thanks
Love your quilting instructions. So refreshing to be practical and not being commercialized to the tenth degree.
Very helpful, I’ve not heard of double pinning before!
