Hi Guys !! I don't generally comment on you tube videos. But I had to in this one as I belong to Janakpur.
Currently, I live in USA and I felt nostalgic watching your videos.
I have been following your Janakpur vlogs very closely and have listed few feedbacks below as well. I must say you guys have covered things nicely. You were so graceful while trying the street foods. You should be proud of this as very few youtubers have been successful in showing that thing gracefully. Most of them at last, either seem to look down upon people, food or be critical and judgemental about things in Janakpur. I didn't find any such in your video. Thanks for that.
Below are few positive feedback and I hope you do not take it personally.
    1. Vlog of June 9, 2023 - I recommend you not to repeat yourself by saying it feels like you are in Bihar/India. Yeah its true that there are similarities. But it gives such a bad vibe to your such a good vlog.
    2. Vlog of June 15, 2023 - You should not have asked child about 'Taadi' place. Just my personal view!! Also please stop asking them in Hindi. They understand Nepali pretty well like any other Nepali. Its just that they might not be able to communicate in Nepali as proficiently as others. And I have to mention that drinking and 'Taadi' place is something that is looked very down by average people in Mithila. Nothing being a critical of your video but just to give you a perspective.
    3. Vlog of June 20, 2023 - Wonderful video! Glad that you covered Mithilanchal cuisines -arkoch, bari, tisiwauri(fried flax seed), taruwa, etc. The first place really had more genuine Mithilanchal cuisines. The dish with gravy and ball is actually 'Bari'. It is the gravy of fried lentil paste (generally masoor dal, urad dal, etc.)
I recommend you to try dahi-chiura as breakfast, sattu drink in morning, rohu fish curry, meetha paan and any other that you find interesting. I hope you cover more religious places like Dhanushadham as well as ponds of Janakpur.
Comment is long but it came right out of my heart .
    Enjoy your stay in Janakpur!!

Thank you so much for taking the time to write your feedbacks. I really appreciate this, especially knowing you're from Janakpur.
First, you need to know that it was our first time in Janakpur and we absolutely loved it. I have only good memories about the food, places and especially the people!!
About Point 1 - When I said it felt like India (as me Maya), what I meant to say is it feels like India because the sudden crowd in the train station. Other points mentioning India when my husband tried few foods similar when he was in Bihar. It is the same when I am in South of France (where I am from), we have a lot of dishes in common with North Spanish food. But it was not intended to be a bad statement. We wanted to compare both. And in fact, there is also a lot of differences as well.
About Point 2 - I do agree to not ask children.
About Point 3 - Thank you for giving me the name of the dish 'Bari'. It was so good.
Janakpur has a unique Mithila culture and food. It is not India. I apologize for the mistakes we made in our vlogs. It's all unplanned and very natural, like us.
We will come back in Janakpur soon and we want to explore more. It was a very nice discovery for us. 🙏

@@ParisMeetsKathmandu I am happy that you guys collected good memories and loved it in your first time.
Yeah, 'bari' is indeed delicious and healthy food. Just to correct myself, it is made out of besan (gram flour) as well. Glad that you guys liked it !!
Thank you for showing Janaki temple, Ram Temple, food and Janakpur as a whole. I had my hands folded 🙏 all the way while you were showing the temple.
Thank you again so so much for the temple moment !! 🙏

After watching this video we can conclude and say Maithili cuisine is on par level with French cuisine.
