    So this is what you looked like 5 years ago. Great to see the content has continued to flow. When you posted this you had less than 1000 subscribers, now 120,000. Nice growth! Probably doesnt pay the bills but does pay for a few coffee's and beers and some mods for the LC... Heading up to Julimar in a few weeks, so just doing some homework. And even all these years ago you delivered content in a great relaxed and informative manner. Well done.

    Interesting place, never been out there so we will have to make the effort one day. Closest we have been is Avon Valley National Park that really wasn't that great. BTW Wiki Camps does work off line for finding places, you just have to download the content while you still have signal.

    Awesome State Forest. I love the WA landscape with the red ground and old gummies. Nice, mild tracks to enjoy getting into camp without worrying about vehicle damage or broken bottles! Fantastic mate.

    There's a track that starts just south of the mud pits, definitely worth driving. There's a hill called "spit the dummie" Its bloody steep for Perth and the decent is just as hairy!

    Hi mate. Loving your videos. Have you done any further videos on your pocket WiFi set up? Was going to buy hema maps set up but heard they're pretty useless without reception...

    • @WildTouring
      @WildTouring  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It worked okay, extended signal a little further out of built up areas than I could get with my phone alone. Now have a celfi go, which works marginally better again, and its a booster so it's a one of cost ($1000) with no need for a seperate simcard and mobile plan. But it's a lot of money to spend on something that works sometimes... Can't boost no reception!
      I find if I pull up the hema maps while I have reception, the app caches it so that it works offline too. It's only when you try to zoom into a new area without reception that you get nothing.

      @@MrTimiski depends on your plans I suppose. But if I was doing it again, I probably would have gone with a 1400mm long canopy, and left myself maybe 250mm of tray behind it (with drop sides) so that I could fit my spare wheel and gas behind the canopy, and had some room for firewood or dirty gear etc.
