I so appreciate this build. Teamwork is so important and needed in a family, especially. These are hard work videos. Each family member could write their name on the framework of their room somewhere and would always feel more a part of their home. See you next time.

Relating your 18th birthday gift tells me you’ve bern building your entire adult life so it’s not surprising that you’re building own house. My father built the family home I now own and I always tell everyone who has ever been to the house because I’m that proud of my father. Your kids will be proud and boastful too. Building a house is a big deal. Not many can do it. My father hired contractors for the plumbing & electrical but you’re even doing that yourself. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Jacob and Natalie, please never feel guilty about buying the tools you need to build or can more easily accomplish your tasks with. Inside the house or outside the house. Those tools will serve you not only on this project but how many more down the road? Your entire family is turning out to be craftsmen! What great teachers you and Natalee are! You're saving money by building yourselves plus building your tool arsenal for now and future jobs or projects. It's a win-win. I wish I had learned that lesson earlier in life but did not. Y'all have done so much out there. That house is REAL! I'm so excited for y'all. Thank you for bringing us along!

i am amazed at the spirit of the human being. you two are awesome. do you ever sit down and look at your buildings and think 'dang, i'm not a carpenter by trade but i/we did this!' ? everytime and every video you share of your work is a model for others to show you can do it. you help those that are saying 'i think i can...' to 'i know i can.' if this old lady ever met you i'd pat you on the back, give you a hug, and shake your hand. this is who my dad was: carpenter, electrician, metal worker, mechanic, repair, renovation, you name it!!! i used to love buying unfinished or old furniture and make it new. loved working with my hands. love your videos guys. can't wait to see the day you move in! god bless
The progress on your home sure looks great. Jacob, your straw hat sure looks better than the other floppy hat. You are so good with your kids helping them do pull ups rather that run them off so you could use the ladder. Blessings to all six of you folks.

The view of the five beams at 24:55 gave me a surprise time shift to where I was at the temple of Luxor in Egypt back in 1952 walking under huge stone 'beams' covered in hieroglyphics. Now, I am 81 and that was a jolt out of the blue. Thanks for assuring me that at least something is still in the old memory banks! Also, the sunsets out there are really nice, but the sunrises are spectacular

I like the new hat but the old hat is still nice even with all the battle scars, after it is washed it will look great. With all the beams that need cutting you need a Prazi-Saw Beam Cutter attachment that goes on a circular saw. Super nice to have and easy to cut beams 12 inches thick. If all else, buy it, use it, and when you don't need it sell it. Now we will have to wait another week to enjoy your build. Your videos are quickly becoming my #1 favorite of all that I watch.
I am not impressed you are building your house, I am impressed it is just the 2 of you. I have framed, wired, and plumbed houses before. We had crews out, not just 2 people. You 2 are impressive.3 great kids, a dog , a cat, and a great wife. You are living the dream.

Love the channel and the content. God bless you guys. You may already know this, but you want to keep trees back at least 30 feet from your house for wildfire/forest fire prevention . So a Forest fire wouldn’t get to your house.
Having 2 saws will be a major time saver. Especially when you get to the trim. Changing your saw set up constantly can waste valuable time. The hat is also an upgrade but it needs an eagle feather to be a true country boy.

I’m not sure if you mentioned this and I missed it. I hope the kids will be on the second story and you will be building a master bedroom and bath on the main level. When you get old you will hate the stairs. I wished we would have done that, bad knees. Looks great and enjoy the channel.

The new hat does not look as comfortable as the old one and does not protect your neck as the old one did. The old hat was you, the new one looks like someone else is building your house😊
