I just want all of you to know who are concerned or had lost a beloved pet that I’m very sorry and that they are peaceful now and I know that for a fact. Don’t forget that you will see them again and they’re waiting for you. Your not alone and everyone is going through what you have/or are going through. It’s life and these things happens but you have to look back on the good memories with your wonderful pet bunny/bunnies. Grieving is okay, it’s hard to lose a pet. Y’all might think this is silly but when my pet daisy (which is in my profile picture) died, i got a couple stuffed bunnies to help remind me of her and to help me cope. This was a way for me to grieve but everyone is different. Just remember that you gave them the best years your little bun could have. If your bunny is still alive but showing symptoms just know that your not alone too and to keep checking on them daily and bring them in if it proceeds. Also know that for whatever happens it might be sad but at least you have memories. If your bunny ends up being alright I’m so very happy for you and just know whatever happens it must happen for a reason. :) ♥️
My rabbit passed away last friday and I’m literally so heartbroken rn, I loved her so much. Being in my room feels so sad and different now. Thank you for this comment 😭
My bunny died today Edit: My bunny escaped when we were getting out and when we got back he was dead he was bitten in the back of the head by my dog who hated him or thought it was a rat
When my bunny died, I buried her in a big white ceramic pot from the hardware store and planted an apricot tree on her almost a year later. She loved dried apricots so much. Now I have a memorial for her, and the tree is still growing.
That's good to hear my mom just put her leg by mistake on my 1 and a half month old rabbit we went to the vet the vet said they have to do a surgery.... I am literally crying right now 😭 idk who to show my feelings...
7. Different breathing. My rabbit has lived for 12 years and didn’t show any of the symptoms above. However, I noticed that she was breathing a little bit heavier than normal. I checked if it was constant and not only under “stress” moments or because of the temperature. You can also hear it from the mouth if they are heaving a hard time breathing. Rabbits only breath through their nose, if they make a click noise with their mouth, they are trying to breath through their mouth because of lack of air. Then u MUST take them to the vet. I took my lovely rabbit just on time, because the vet said that she was suffering a lot. She had a plump in her lung which caused less space for air. I got her euthanized the next day. :( R.I.P
@@rozagirl101 Waaaaaaiiit ... you said it had interest in food and water , not any of the things listed above and still euthanized it ? dude wtf you cant just assume from your vet only that your rabbit suffers please be more careful i got a little mad now >.
My dwarf rabbit died in my arms today. He was 9 years old. Going back and forth with if I had done enough to make him feel ok as he passed. This video actually helped me get out of my head a bit .
Oh no I’m sooo sorry. I’m crying reading this while watching my three buns enjoy their short lives knowing that I’ll have to go through this pain myself. I hope your had a great life:)
My bunny is Tomi too and shes about 4,8 years but shes gray.. Sadly shes not ok.. Shes not eating or drinking, shes trying to move but shes struggling a lot.. It all started when she first peed blood
I'm watching this with tears in my eyes. I've never had a best friend in my life, now after Shady's death, I'd go back to being alone. I can't take this... But it's not in my hand.
My Jared died today. I did his funeral myself my digging a hole on the ground and later put flowers ,incense sticks and candles around his body. Tomorrow i will go to print his photo and put in-front of his dead body. Being a man i still cried and still can't get over his death. He was the only one i had and i loved. God bless his soul.
this video made me remember the last day of me and my rabbit Tommy being together. I miss him to this day. Tommy remember this that i love you forever and i will never forget you
soccerlove 2472 hi my rabbit is nearly a year old and every since last night she just lays down and doesn’t move and she doesn’t eat or drink. Do you think it could be GI Stasis? Also her legs are all bendy and her eyes are wide open and she blinks about 4 times a minute
@@isunfloweri9940 also it's normal for rabbits to rarely blink I suggest you take her to the vet if u can't than try feeding her critical care if you can find it or try syringe feeding
Bar Yaakov omg. Same. I think my rabbit is ill now but she’s eating a little bit and running around and drinking water but watching this was so painfull. She is also quite old, she’ll be 10 years old this year
My 13 year old Holland Lop just passed lastnight. He ate up until lastnight & had a clear & great vet check few months prior. Zero signs he was dying. He acted like a dog, & was well loved by my entire family. I can’t stop crying, I miss him so much 💔
I observed my rabbit getting thinner and eats so little amount. Then I decided to spend more time playing with her, walk her around my room, and massaged her forehead because I had the suspicion of her being stressed out after she lost her babies. Fortunately, she got recovered from it and now she's looking healthy and active
I took my baby to the vet once I realized he began to act differently. The vet barely skimmed over him during the check up and told me that he was fine even though I had concerns. He died two weeks later. I suggest that you guys always listen to your gut instinct. I knew my pet and I shouldn’t have just brushed everything off after the check up. I’m literally so heart broken
Sending love to all those who have lost their babies. I've held many that just needed that comfort, be strong as you comfort them, they appreciate it and love you
My Rabbit was named Bugsy, my companion was with me over 12 years. I’ve given that Rabbit so much love and attention. Bugsy you will missed dearly. 12 years you outlived many of your fellow Rabbits. RIP Bugsy.🙏🏽
i do not own rabbit. but when once i had a dog and was dying and there was nothing that could be done i took him to a vet to euthanize him and ease the pain. why leave them suffer just for the sake of having them just for a few more days????
If your bunny is suffering, Im sorry, but you need to sleep it... dont let it feel pain... I have done it 2 times... My rabbit just died today ... May Brownie's soul rest in piece
My rabbit named cheeku died today morning 21 march 2019 Very Painful to see him dying May his soul rest in peace God please let his soul come to you forever......😢😢
@@ivan2jzbunny I dont know what he actually had but at night he was fine but in morning his body was erect and eyes open. When i took him out of cage his heart beat was very slow but gradually his heart beat stopped he also ate raddish leaves at night which i had put in cage my eyes always become wet when i see his empty cage 😢😢😢
These videos make everyone trip out. Tbh i kinda got worried cuz my bunny to be vibin for a while in the same spot, but then when she come out the cage she be running and jumping around. I hate watchin these kind of vids bc they make you hella stressed and dk what to believe
@@armanabovyan yeah I totally agree with you I start to overthink everyone my little bun does after watching these types of videos even though she’s all good
My granddaughter's beautiful 13-year-old rabbit named Zazu is dying as I write this sentence. She has been a precious gift to our family during all these years. As such, pets have the magic of becoming family members, so letting go becomes a very painful reality. I have watched this video and it's given me some comfort and insight in understanding the death of a pet rabbit. I will have my daughter and my grandchild watch the video as well. Thank you for sharing.
My bunny of 7,5 years passed away, while staying at relative's house and they decided not to inform us of her symptoms. They had an absurd idea that she is a goner anyway and not to burden us. I feel discussing, my body's exausted from stress and rage, even so, it reminds me of covid, but no matter how wrong my relative was, it's still my fault in this situation for not taking the bunny home sooner. What seemed to happen was dental problems, which led to GI stasis, but it also could have been a series of strokes. There was plenty of time to act and for me to drive her to the vet. It's hard to grief a pet friend on its own, but this feels like a dedicated action to end the animal's life. And I loved that relative with all my heart, but they are not even sorry for their actions.
My bunny died in December as he was 12 years old. I knew it was coming because he didn’t get up to greet me when I gave him food but it still hit really hard as I grew up with him. My bunny I have currently was adopted when we went to the shelter to donate the old mans things; those two goofballs acts the same. My rescued bun is three years old: this video in my recommendations spooked me.
My bunny rabbit was also 12 and died 2 days ago. I got her when I was 3. I can’t stand the look of the empty cage it just brings me back to when I saw her just laying there stiffly with her eyes open. I saw something was wrong the day before as she wouldn’t move but there was so many times where we thought something was wrong so I didn’t wanna overthink it and ignored it. I honestly wish I could turn back time and be with her. It hurts so bad.
Aleksandra Olejnik s lot of the time there’s nothing we can do once a rabbit goes into that sad tired state. I’m sure your bun had an amazing life- a long one too, at that. I’m so sorry for your loss. Our furry babies are too special. Maybe putting a towel over her cage would help for a moment. I went through days of not sleeping because I would see my boy’s cage. You’ve got this. Loss is hard but you’re strong. Don’t feel bad for something you could’ve done, smile happily at all your memories with her.
My bunny had gotten a sore on her neck, so we took her to the vet. They gave her an antibiotic shot and some cream to put on the sore. She started acting really tired and had a limp in her hind legs, I thought she just must be tired. But I was wrong. Three days later my baby Fifi had passed, and I feel like it was all my fault and I really miss her hhh
I raised my rabbit ever since she was able to leave her mother. I taught her to lick after giving her a good back scratch/ rub. 3 years passed and she was still healthy and happy with her sister. Out of nowhere she wouldn’t move and sat in place. I tried to push/ move her but she wouldn’t even care. I thought because it was very cold out that she wanted to stay warm. So I looked at her every day to check up and she was in the same body position but in diff areas in the cage everyday. Came home from school to find her laying on her side, arms and legs stretched out, with her eyes open. I felt so helpless, sitting there crying over something so precious that I had dedicated so much time to everyday. Honestly felt like it was my fault, even though I spent hour of every night warming her and giving back rubs and covering her with a huge blanket ever since she was sick. This all happened 3 nights ago, and lasted 4 days before her passing.
My rabbit passed away just this morning. She was 9 and was getting old. But just the day before she was running around in the field kicking her legs and everything. It really pains me to know it was late at night and I was in bed when it happened.
I started crying watching this, I love my bunny so so much and I never want to lose her. She's six years old now and luckily always been healthy, hoping that she will live old :')
Our 5 year old rabbit, Pebbles, has been recovering from GI stasis. This has involved administering gut motility drugs every 8 and 12 hours, Critical Care through a syringe and having her on a drip at the vets for a couple of days. Her recovery at home has been slow, but she is showing determination to fight to live. Strangely, she is not wanting to eat any hay at the moment, but loves fresh grass and fresh greens. If your bunny is struggling through the same illness, as rabbit owners, my advice is to be patient and keep going with the care, love and bunny massages.
Sometimes it's not this easy to notice something is wrong. My childhood rabbit was literally fine that morning and on her deathbed that evening when I got home. She had developed a tumor yet had not been exhibiting any behaviors out of the ordinary. Still hurts me to this day. 💔
This reminded me of my 12 year old rabbit (Fluffy) that died on the 28th of January 2019 she had a long lasting life for an out door bunny but it was devastating because I saw her dead just laying there lifeless my whole family were devastated to see her go but at least Fluffy is with Snowy (My mum's old rabbit)(she didn't suffer atleast) burried in the same place, at my grand parents house. This was posted on the 31st of January 2019. R.I.P Fluffy the bunny 2006-2019
My bunny's name was Luchi. She passed away on 26th Dec this year. I still cannot believe she isn't there. It is hurting alot. She had developed severe cold and was hypothermic before she breathed her last. I buried her below a tree. I am missing her alot. It feels that I could not do much for her, she was just 3months old.
Maybe you could work at an animal rescue center? That way it’s not yours until you see it die, but then you’re still getting to bond and so good for it
I dont want another one either cause it left me devastated that my bun died. I hate that his vet wasn't accessible the new year weekend. He fell sick on 1/3/21 early am and passed 1/4/21 like 12:30 am 3:00 am. I was hoping he could hold on until it opens Monday morning. I feel as if I failed him by not being as knowledgeable as I thought I was.
My 2 year old rabbit passed three weeks ago he only showed signs of lose stools but he ate food and drank water fine . I feel so guilty that I thought it would just pass and he was better . It's been so hard to cope with him not being here anymore I will forever love you Baxter ❤️ 🐰
Man, that hurts. Just went through it again, 1st with my cat, then recently with my 1 month old baby rabbit I saved. I think I'm done. Had to watch to be ready if and when I decide to get another rabbit but now, I just can't. Thanks for the video. To those whom lost you're best friend, my condolences 🙏. Be safe yall.
Thanks for explaining to me that a rabbit has a shorter life expectancy than a human. Also, thank you so much for explaining grief to me, as I have a rare condition where I was born without emotions, and have never experienced love or happiness.
My bunny fluffy died last night my heart broke when i saw her dead and of course I burst into tears i promise that i will always remember her and cherish the moments and good memories i had with her...
One day I went to feed my rabbit outside and he was not moving at all. He was awake but he would not budge. I picked him up and moved him multiple times but he did nothing. I was expecting him to die as he was 11 years old already. so i petted him one last time and went away. The next morning I went out to the pen with my shovel, ready to bury him, and he was running around playing with his ball and eating grass like he was born yesterday. WHAT IS THIS SORCERY???!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Your rabbit’s teeth may need filing. If not that, it maybe a sign of digestive issues. If it’s digestive issues, I feel for you. Trying to give a rabbit critical care and medication through a syringe can be a nightmare. My rabbit’s too smart for his own good. My rabbit is very gentle, but WILL NOT ALLOW SYRINGE FEEDING! I tried the wrap. He’ll fight out of it. I just sit there like “Idiot. This is to keep you alive!” On the bright side in your situation, your rabbit is still eating hay and drinking water. That’s more important than the pellets. The pellets aren’t supposed to be the main source. Take your rabbit to a vet. Based on what you wrote, yours isn’t that bad!
My 7 year old bunny died yesterday, on 25 th february 2021. She wasn't eating or drinking anymore, she wasn't using one of her legs and she wasn't moving.... When I saw they are inactive I was like my rabbit is never active she just eats drinks sleeps repeat Now she is dying of sebaceous Adenitis I’m going to miss her so much😭
Morbid curiosity? That’s why I’m here, methinks. I read a book and a rabbit died so I was wondering what some real life signs would be. So yeah, that checks out. 😅
My godfather used to joke saying he was going to cook his rabbits, I was young so when I came back and didn't see them I thought he had put them in a pie like in the books... He didn't, but it scared me I had might ate them
@@supokanatm3435 I do jokes all the time about my bunnies too, they are delicious and love massages, so sometimes I look at him when my parents are near and say"he is so delicious, someday I'm gonna cook him" it's funny
My lovely rabbit is around 10 years old now and he will pass any time now. I’ve expected him to die any day since August, but he has lasted this long and we are in November. His wife died in August. He is still interested in food, but while eating, he stops, turns away and make repetitive head movements to the side. He sits like that for a while and then he turns around for the food again. He feels very safe with me, but he has never been much for patting, cuddles or kisses. When the food or treat is finished he hops away. I don’t know if I should hold him or not. He still takes the food very carefully from my hand. He is such a darling. ❤
My bunny passed away yesterday, he had a parasite that eventually damaged his eye, we spend more than $1000 to remove his eye and on medicine, he was finally happy again but then he ended up getting head tilt, he passed while we were at work, he must have been so scared and alone😢I miss him so much, the cuddles, and the nose twitches, he would jump on the bed and lay next to me with his legs stretched out, I love and miss you so much Sonny 😢😢💔💔

I’m not sure how it is worldwide or throughout the US, but very few vets here see rabbits. We had to go deep into a rural area to find one. We had a Flemish giant mix (did not know this when she was a babe). There was an unexpected loud noise when a piece of furniture broke and it wasn’t that far from her. She was safe in her hutch at the time (inside bunny) -nothing touched her-it was just the loud noise.Over a day or two she seemed OK but started eating less hay-instead of demolishing it like usual! In the evening we called the vet and they scheduled an appointment for the next morning but when we woke up she was gone😪The vet said she probably incurred some heart damage from the fright of the loud noise and that the very large bunnies often don’t have the strongest hearts because they were originally, unfortunately, bred to be large for food😪He felt that a necropsy wasn’t really needed since she had been seen not long before This probably was the case because her checkup was indeed less than a month prior and she was 100% healthy. It’s not always easy to diagnose potential heart problems during a typical check up if there are no symptoms and no further exploration. Has anyone heard of this happening? It was devastating as you could imagine. Sorry for the long post. Most people agree with this but I haven’t found anyone else has gone through this.
I am the luckiest person alive, I saved my rabbit when she was just 3 months old, she was not breathing, just peed on me, and was limp, I’m very happy to have my little Wendy today
I am glad Boris still runs around the room and makes noises when I come in. My kitty who I had for eleven years died. I had Boris for four and do not realize how old he was when he was given to me. I miss petting those two at the same time.
Makaila Lima mine is the same, took her vets & turns out she has an under lying tumour, Just fingers cross whiskers becomes a fighter for the operation due Friday! 🤞
Don't worry, if you take good care of it you're baby bunny will live for a long time. Just make sure to give him/her the right things so it can stay healthy. And I recommend you to give him/her papaya because that is good for them. When I had my bunny back then we gave him papaya and he stayed really healthy.
I know it’s scary but rather than worry about it try to make the best out of your time with them, my bunny died last month and it was heartbreaking, I was always afraid of that moment but I never expected for it to be from a tumour, I tried to make the best out of the last days with her and stayed with her as much as I could, it’s a sad moment but it’s inevitable for bunnies and for us, we must not stress about it as the bunny wants you to be happy and you want to be happy with them, when the time comes it’ll be hard and you can mourn, but if you’ve taken great care of them and loved them you know they’ve had the best life they could have, use the time they have when they’re alive to create great memories rather than spend too much of it worrying
My rabit died recently and the one of the obvious symptoms was as followed: inflating and moving sidebelly(the right side), eating less and mostly by stimulating only, drinking too much water, inactivity in general.
My rabbit died yesterday. It refused to eat or drink and it wouldn't move, so I called my mother and asked her to come over. I placed her on a pillow, turned off the AC, turned down my TV and stared at her. The only other animal I loved like that was my dog who died at 9 years old. That rabbit and dog were the only animals that I genuinely cared for.

I'm so worried for my rabbit. I woke up today and it was really cold just lying there with it's eyes open. It's not even a year old yet and it had so much more to live for.
😭
Thank you so much 😭😭💕💕
My rabbit just died today and I watched this video to see why she died and I found this comment, thank you man.

I hope Mowgli is doing okay. :)

Resting your hand on a bunny's head is probably the best way to keep a bunny calm. That's bunny language for "everything's going to be okay."
Thank you so much
You can tell they like it when they grind their teeth, almost as if chewing on something. Loud grinding is a sign of pain, though.

If you take the best care of them you won't have to worry about ANY of this for 8-14 years. Tell your TH-cam recs to f themselves lol.

There’s no harm in knowing the signs, also learning your rabbits behaviour will help if you need the vets.

My bunny died today
Edit: My bunny escaped when we were getting out and when we got back he was dead he was bitten in the back of the head by my dog who hated him or thought it was a rat

Mine died last night
Trying to see if I could have helped sooner
1. No interest in food or water
2. Inactivity
3. Vital signs alter
4.abnormal behavior fear agression
5. Death..tremors,stiffness in jaw
one more sign--- 6. they don't want to fuck and multiply
thanks for saving my data
None of these happened to my rabbit but sje just froze up and died. I dont know why😢😢
@@rozagirl101 Waaaaaaiiit ... you said it had interest in food and water , not any of the things listed above and still euthanized it ? dude wtf you cant just assume from your vet only that your rabbit suffers please be more careful i got a little mad now >.

I observed my rabbit getting thinner and eats so little amount.
Same... I cant get over it...
Pleb I will, thank you so much 😣
My boy died a year n half ago an im still mourning him, miss him terribly,RIP, Snickers, aka wildman.
Jeez that’s tough. :(

I dont want another one either cause it left me devastated that my bun died. I hate that his vet wasn't accessible the new year weekend.

My cousin's 4 week old bunny died at May 17, 2019 at 10:20 pm
I can't tell you how sorry l am 4 week 😟😰😨
My rabbit is slowly dyeing 😭 it’s staying still and it won’t drink its water I’m about to cry 😭
I was crying the whole time I was watching this video
My bunny passed away yesterday, he had a parasite that eventually damaged his eye, we spend more than $1000 to remove his eye and on medicine, he was finally happy again but then he ended up getting head tilt, he passed while we were at work, he must have been so scared and alone😢I miss him so much, the cuddles, and the nose twitches, he would jump on the bed and lay next to me with his legs stretched out, I love and miss you so much Sonny 😢😢💔💔
6 sep 2020 8:10 pm edt(utc-4):
maybe culprit is sepsis, not parasite.
sepsis is white-blood-cell encapsulate/coagulate bacteria to kill
bacteria:

then too many white-blood-cell coagulate, blocking blood-flow,so sepsis maybe is
lacking anticoagulant.

maybe emulsifier is anti-coagulant.

Hello Sophia how are you doing today Happy 😊 Nee Year God bless you as you wished..
My bunny passed away yesterday 😢 evening, I was by his side all afternoon 😢 petting talking to him softly prior he would not eat or drink or hay, I used some water with a syringe to wet inside his mouth, I felt so helpless for him wishing I could do more, he eventually had two stoles of diarrhea which we're very strong odor, I tried comforting him more, he ran at me as I was sitting on the floor in soo much pain and 😨 fear as I was too, so I tried keeping him still petting him he ran around in a circle came up to the left of me in shock as I reached out on his head and ears a with a couple soft caresses he flopped over 💔 😔 and passed right in front of my eyes 👀 I'm broken 💔 😢 he was exactly 11 years old and my little buddy.
I Just lost my bunny today :"/
may she rest in peace in bunny heaven. I will miss her alot. If you're reading this make sure u give ur bunny that extra love they deserve.
This was so sad but necessary for us all. The one bunny at the vet looks like mine.

I am bawling my eyes out right now. This is tough to deal with. I love my little buddy. And hate to see him go.
I guess all i can do is keep him comfortable till its over.
I’m so sorry for what’s happening. I’m going through the same thing and I keep crying every time I realise how bad this is. How is your rabbit now?

my rabbit died today💔wish I watched this sooner😭x
Who is also watching this and they have a rabbit
Me
I’m not sure how it is worldwide or throughout the US, but very few vets here see rabbits.
Mine died today rip mekarasu
TurkeyBoy55 RIP 🌈❤️
I am the luckiest person alive, I saved my rabbit when she was just 3 months old, she was not breathing, just peed on me, and was limp, I’m very happy to have my little Wendy today
I am glad Boris still runs around the room and makes noises when I come in. My kitty who I had for eleven years died. I had Boris for four and do not realize how old he was when he was given to me. I miss petting those two at the same time.
When my bunny was eating, he keeps on stopping then eats again... is this bad? He also kinda just lays down and isnt hyper like he used to...
Makaila Lima mine is the same, took her vets & turns out she has an under lying tumour, Just fingers cross whiskers becomes a fighter for the operation due Friday! 🤞
He might be old that's how my rabbit is rn
Same
I got a question?!?!?!
My rabbit eats normally
But hes laying still!!
Tell me if she and he dying!!!
me too!
Am literally crying rn scared that my baby bunny will die
@@Fandango410 I wished I would have known to do this cause I believe my bun died from gi statis or a blockage.
