The tuning that is being using is "standard" playing in the key Of E....If your wonderng about the main riff , it's because the way he plays it he mutes the 2nd string (B) with his ring finger as he strums the riff (this pattern was classic with George Harrison). Again it's in the "E" scale or Eb. Hammering on the 3rd string (G) open 1st and 2nd strings alternating between the two..first and third position are the same (G,B,E,B) as two and four positions are the same as well (G,B,G,E,B).
