11 years later. Still love this song. I remember being 15 losing my first love how much this song meant to me and how I thought I’d never get over it.. man some bittersweet memories. Now I’m 25. With a kid and moved on. And so has she. But we haven’t talked for some years now. But you’ll never forget that first love.. that’s for sure. Thanks for the bittersweet memories growing up to your music Derek.
Derek, i have to stop right now and just say thank you. Your music and passion have helped me thru a very hard time in my life where a messy break-up just about put the rest of my life in the shadows. I've begun playing guitar again after 5-10 years and you are right, taking your mind off the heartbreak is the only way to move on.
