Hello Simon, I was looking forward to this. Your allotment is looking good, garlics looking great, leeks still going, nice work of the currants, I think I need a cage, the pigeons had all my currants last year as I didn’t get round to covering them
Hi Amir, yes I'm pleased I've finished the winter pruning. I too lost a lot of fruit to the birds last year but now I have finally fixed the top on the cage I shouldn't lose any. atb Simon
hats off for the work it takes to keep the allotment in shape . It's looking for doe the most part - it's just lot 15. Well, I haven't seen any of your notifications. I have some catching up to do. All the best. Mark
Cheers Simon, very interesting and provides me with some inspiration. I’m still working on rescuing the garden and im meeting a tree man today to look at removing several old fruit trees and properly pruning a couple of 80 ish year old cooking apppe trees. What walks have you in mind for this spring, any multi day ones. ATB 👍
Hi Dave, sounds like you've a lot of work to do there. Worth getting the experts in to prune the older trees and you might get a few tips off them for the other pruning jobs you need to do. Just local walks around Winchcombe to get some miles back into my legs first. Then, St Kenelm's Way (day walks x4) and may be backpacking the North Worcs Path & the Staffordshire Way. atb Simon

@@WinchcombeWanderer I did part of the Staffordshire way up to Uttoxiter when walking from Leicester to Matlock. I really enjoyed that one.
@DaveGoodman1959 presently planning on walking it to Rocester but might do the last 30ish miles if I'm enjoying it
