Fun fact, the top speed is limited at 106mph simply because it's so heavy that there's no tire that can handle taking that weight any faster so it would just explode

@@somehowlostinspace to be fair, semi truck tyres are significantly larger, allowing more structural integrity among other things than the hummer's.
Its cause the final drive is so fucking low from factory😂 just bump it up to 200mph and have fun beating everybody

The reason the jelly tune doesn't do much is because the batteries are in the floor and hold most of the 9000lb weight. Jelly tunes work well on top heavy cars and the hummer has weight about has high as an Evo

It's an HGV (Heavy Goods Vehicle) license in the UK.
For those outside the UK…if you have a regular car licence you can only drive cars up to 3.5tons. Anything over that (The Hummer EV) you have to have a HGV (heavy goods vehicle) licence

i believe it has a limiter due to the massive off-road tires it has. if it went any faster, it would risk damaging or blowing a tire.

I've seen several of these things cruising around Utah already. They look insane on public roads. One was like this olive military green. Not sure if it was a wrap or not. Looked like a real life warthog from halo going down the road.

I made an A class Hummer EV that basically weights 7kg more than stock and it doesn't care about obstacles when going offroad. Incredible truck.

Then we learned about the Hummer H3, the black sheep of the Hummer family that we all conveniently forgot about. Now we have the Hummer EV with 9,000 pounds of pure weight, perfect for obliterating other cars on the road and making you bankrupt with its tire-burning skills

Well i'm sure we can all agree on the fact that it turns out ever since Mike Brown left, PG has certainly been paying alot more attention to detail in these updates! So much so that there is even slight differences in the way certain ev's sound!
Specifically the FORD F-150 Lightning, CUPRA Gaviscon & GMC Hummer EV all have minor differences to them if you listen closely enough...with the Hummer being the noisiest, while the F-150 is the heaviest and then the cupra is somewhere in between but was also stated that battery swaps changes the sound output overall.

A v6 is considered a small engine in the US. Our family car has about 300 hp and can accelerate to 100 kph in about 7 seconds, which is considered slow over here. Our cop cars can reach speeds of about 250-260 kph and those are massive suvs that seat 7 people.

Did you know a hummer EV traveling at it's max speed of 102mph carries the same amount of potential energy as a Honda Civic traveling at 360mph.
The tyre restrictions need to be removed. It doesn't make sense that they allow you to stick offroad tyres on a Mclaren but restrict the tyre selection when it comes to this.

At least the old Hummers were really slow, so if they crashed it wasn’t too dangerous. But this is a 9,000 lb truck that does 0-60 in 3 seconds FLAT. That is terrifying to think about.
