I'm really late to say it, but a lot of people on SCPSL seem to think of 'juking' as just hitting A+D or W+S, that's moreso just strafing, and it's very simple to predict when you know someone's doing it, speed boosted or not, and they become very easy to kill because it's a one-trick pony. Actual juking (as in experienced, artful juking) is the act of trying to constantly predict what your opponent is going to do and then trying to do the exact opposite or whatever you can do to minimize the chance of that succeeding, movement-wise, at least. A class D door-hugging an open gate and baiting a 096 charge only to jump through and shut it after 096 goes by them is a juke. An MTF baiting out a 939 pounce just to lunge through the doorway as 939 goes sailing through the other side and get a running start is a juke. A Chaos routinely stuttering, changing, or staggering their motions to get 173 to overshoot its blinks so they can get free shots in while 173 is on cooldown is a juke. A Chaos with a Logicer repeatedly spamming A+D back and forth to keep Ferrari peeking a doorway and dodge bullets while mowing down MTF is just strafing, and it exists in almost every shooter ever. TL;DR: Chaos spamming A+D or W+S at doorway to Ferrari peek MTF = Not juking. A class D carrying out five-step ahead chess moves and actively doing their best to predict and counteract the motions of a 173 or 049 to avoid being hit = Juking. E1GHT is a juker of terminal proportions that is able to keep at least half the SCP team busy chasing one guy.
I'd like to mention some of these clips [including the start] he survived due to medical items, if he didnt have 500s or Adrenaline he would've gotten shut down easier. You rely a lot on items for jukes to be very effective, as against any good or experineced player they just aren't very effective. 'Juking' by definition is all of the things you listed, you can talk about effectiveness but they're doing the same thing. It's a general term. Despite what the video leads you on, experienced teams shut down juking.. all it really does is delay the inevitable when you're cornered. Your best move in most situations is to try and run away and make distance, using items to aid with that. Not hopelessly jump around or misdirect the SCP to try and make space. Against humans, strafing is a very effective tactic in fighting since headshots are so key, this is somewhat offset by accuracy penalties, but isn't too notable most of the time because it has to account for the very run n' gun of SCP combat.
@radium6962 You're sorta right. Juking imho is a last ditch gamble you should make to survive long enough to capitalize on an SCP mistake. In an ideal scenario you should always have proper spacing vs scps.
Im going to be honest, most of these jukes he survives because he has adrenaling or scp 500. His movement is unmatched tho, and there some new jukes for peanut ive never seen. I just think in most of these senerios you woulve died with that lack of items and fail the juke anyway.
it depends on who you are playing against, if it's a noob, it's easy to juke or kill him, but if it's a good player , for example, with 1000+ hours, it's possible that you'll get killed or even juked (sadly im almost hitting 900 hours so yeah)
