    Good times! I’ll be heading down to Los Cabos for a 6 week surfing and fishing adventure with my wife and daughter next month. Bringing 4 surfboards and 3 fishing rods. I’ll be driving down from Los Angeles with the family dog and my girls are flying down after I get there. Looking forward to catching plenty of waves and fish🏄🏼‍♂️🎣🤙

      That’s awesome!! You are going at a great time for some excellent surf fishing! We went last year in July and killed it! Giant roosterfish, big jack Crevalle and we hooked a couple big fish we couldn’t even stop. I highly recommend big reels with some 65 lb braid, 50 wasn’t heavy enough last year. It’s all in our Roosterfish video. That will be so much fun your family, enjoy and good luck!!

      North_West_Outdoors_Adventures Thank you!!! We had a blast and really jealous you’ve been there this whole time!! We are planning a return trip end of May. Really hoping to catch a Rooster then. It’s been tough getting good info on when to get after them on the beach.

      @@SilhouetteOutdoors over all I had a tough time getting info in cabo lol ... Its my third time visiting and I still haven't caught one :( but they are there I watched a guy catch one from shore yesterday. I know you can buy live bait from the boats where the marina enters the sea around 7am when all the fishing boats leave. They want like $3 a bait fish though haha you have to bargain.

      Ya, when we went out on our charters it was about 20$ for a half dozen mackerel. Only problem is keeping the needlefish from eating them. Supposedly may-July is prime time for big roosters. We primarily fished Diamanté beach. Saw a guy catch 2 Mahi there, we hooked a big cubera snapper that got off and a guy caught about a 30 lb skip Jack there as well. Hope you get a Rooster tho!!! Such a cool fish.

    Fish 1: Machete Fish 2: Pacific Crevalle Jack Fish 3: Giant Mexican Needlefish (not 100%, but think so) Fish 5: Pacific Sierra Fish 6: Diamond stingray 8: Gafftopsail Pompano .. my guesses anyway...

      Your guess on fish #1 is spot on, I was told later they are also called lady fish and apparently are great bait! It's what I love about fishing new water in the ocean, you literally never know whats coming in next.

    Fun stuff! Heading down in December, now I know what I might hook into. Are you willing to share which beach or beaches you were fishing when you made this. Looking at staying at Sandos Finisterra on the Pacific Side of Los Cabos in December where I hear the surf fishing is decent.

    • @SilhouetteOutdoors
      @SilhouetteOutdoors  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That will be a great trip! December is a great time to catch Mahi and Marlin in Cabo. The fish are starting to migrate south though, and they tend to be on the Sea of Cortex side of the Arches, as the water is warmer. But you might give the beach a try right behind Grand Solmar Hotel, sierras are always around.

    What's the best way to get to and from fishable beaches? I probably won't be renting a car and will be staying in downtown Cabo.

      Use your Uber App to get rides. It’s really cheap! Same app that works here in the states works down there

    Awesome, I can’t wait to go next summer, quick question, did you have to check in with your rods/tackle/drone?

    • @SilhouetteOutdoors
      @SilhouetteOutdoors  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Just my drone. They taxed me 11% of the original cost of my drone at customs, or they would have confiscated it. 122$ to get it into Mexico.. But that’s it.

    What type of line and reel were you using?

    • @SilhouetteOutdoors
      @SilhouetteOutdoors  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I actually have a description and Amazon hot links in the video description for all the gear I used, that includes reel and line. I try to do that for all my videos to help everyone out.
