How to make a 3D origami Beginner's Swan

- In this video, we are going to make a model which is suited for beginners to get started with 3D origami. The swan is not very complicated but looks quite good and doesn't take too much time.

PRO-TIP: Fold standard printer paper into 4 parts (hotdog style) then 8 parts (hamburger style). Then you have 32 perfectly sized pieces of paper that are exactly the correct dimension.

@@anshumansinghchauhan3180 hotdog: folding on vertical axis, bring the left and right sides to the middle. hamburger: folding on horizontal axis, bring the top and bottom to the middle
this costed me all my nerve cells and in the end my swan looks more like a pigeon with a comically long neck. perfect
Watched it today and made it today ..it was boring to make pieces but it was all worth after assembling all the pieces together ..came out really nice 💕💕

I love making these! I started painting them with Elmer’s glue! It dries clear but gives it a shiner look and makes the project more sturdy😋

Each A4 sheet we can get 25 pieces.so if we want 317 pieces,we require 13 A4 sheets.hope it's helpful for beginners.
How do u get those 25 papers, because constantly measuring and cutting will take a whilr

A little deceptive. The swan doesn't hold it's shape like it's modeled at the beginning. Even in the video at the end, you're holding the wings to the body the whole time, any bit of give and I see the wings move away from the body and flop down as mine does. It requires glue to keep the wings curled up to the body, you should mention this once it's finished being put together.
I followed the tutorial and mine came out that way, too. I didn’t use glue, but I squished the ends of both wings into other slots at the tail to sort of support it.

How does the thing chnage without you showing us what you did? On the base in the bigginh there is four pieces in the gap on the main body, but when you assemble them all there's only 2 pieces point out??

overall beautiful but...took me 5 hours to complete but at the end the neck is falling to one side and the whole model is super fragile can someone tell me any solution and what I did wrong pls . I'm a beginner

I noticed that ur pieces don't require to be pushed deeply, so u get a more longer shape. Mine somehow end up more deeply otherwise my pieces sit loose .... (for example ur wings are long shaped compare to mine, it's wider, another example: u put 5 consecutive pieces at 1:22, I've to put 10 pieces instead to be able to have a gap for the step later on)
Can someone tell me what I do wrong ... Coz I want to have a longer shape and not wide ...
Hi, try not to crease so much(light fold) when making the pieces. That makes a lot of difference.
How many pieces would it take to make that ?
