Enjoyed the video. I need one for small farm.
Yes you do! 😎
Thanks Alan, we are looking at getting one of these, and you did a great job explaining loads about this.
Blessings
Glad it was helpful!
thanks for the tips,, looks a little to dry for me to burn that big of a brush pile have to wait for more snow
Yep... waiting for a calm day with a little sprinkle of rain... 😎
Never had one for our tractor but I’ve used one many times on a skid steer.
Works the same, but may be a little slower.
The skid steer's hydraulics are probably a lot faster.
Great tutorial, we have the Kubota M5640SU 4x4, and have always wanted a grappler. Our 24 acres has a lot of trees, picking up after the wind and rain comes through, seems like a full time job.
Glad it was helpful!
You'll love a grapple...
We need one!
I'm the ground crew at our house and dragging stuff around isn't easy for us old folks. My husband like tractor attachments so I might be able to talk him into this.
Good luck! 😎
Not cheap, but worth it!
Alan: quick question for you. I’ve got a Kubota with a LA1065 loader - has about a 2,200 lb. lift capacity. I had an EA grapple ordered, but alas, they’ve gone out of business & I don’t have the grapple. When I bought my Kubota, the dealer offered me an Armstrong grapple, but it weighed 770lbs. vs about 350 lbs. for the EA grapple. Do you think 770 lbs. is too much weight for my loader-in other words, is there enough lift capacity remaining do get any serious work done? What’s the lift capacity on your loader-I know you said the grapple was about 800 lbs.
Thanks.
My loader is actually smaller than yours. I think it's a LA1002.
Sure, you always have to take into account the weight of the grapple when you're working it, but hasn't been a problem
i just always bite a little less weight if I have to.
Mine is 850LBS I think. My tractor is a M6800
If I'm doing something REAL heavy (big stumps, tree trunks etc), I will try to get it with my forks first.
Or... just cut it up onto smaller pieces.
Hope that helps.
Here's a video of me taking too much of a load. Could have ended badly:
