Who could be your pick for surprise cut for the Lions?
Levi is gone.
Cominski and great intro coach Dan!
Reynolds. I like him, but he is getting older and we want to remain young.
OUTSTANDING show today Coach & Sarge! It’s incredible to see how loaded this roster is on both sides of the ball.
One sleeper to keep an eye on in the LB room is Nate Lynn. Guy is an incredible leader and playmaker. I think he will at worst make the PS.
Football is in the air Dew Crew. Catch you all tomorrow. GO Lions!
Thanks for that Dale! Nice call on Lynn. I’ll keep eyes on him.
See you tomorrow!
Offensive WEAPON - Dan Skipper!!! ❤ It!
He knows his worth 😎
LOVE THAT INTRO!!!! ❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥
Thank you!
Nice break downs on the different groups. Show flowed well today guys. One pride!
Appreciate it!
Did you see MCDC spinning the wheel on price is right? He hit 95 and said “Drew, I’m gonna spin again”. 🤣🤣🤣
lol now that would be awesome.
If the players what to be on the team they have to show it Go Lions.
I think you're right Harold. Players will need to come in ready to fight for spots on the team, and to not get cut. Should lead to some great camp battles!
Great show today coach and Sarge.
I think Mosley could be on the outside looking in.
With the players getting paid good should not have any problems going All the way with the Superbowl Go Lions.
All roads are pointed out of Ford Field with a map to the Superdome.
Ouch 😮
Indeed 😂
Great show by the two of you and some good points, some other flubs. No way is Robinson getting put on the PS Sarge.
Thanks for that. Glad you enjoyed it!
Here's a thought, Dan.
What do the Rams do at WR? I don't know if they run a lot of motion. But, it seems they throw to the slots. I don't even know who carries the rock or who their TE is.
Then, take the Niners. They run a lot of jet, have a RB, have a TE and (at least) one WR. They ALL get the ball.
The Lions draw up plays for all their skill types. And, probably, blend both the Rams and Niners offenses into what they do.
What do each of these Clubs have in common? Their QBs aren't out-running anybody's LBs.
So, whatever clutch grabs Jameson Williams gets will have to be 20 yards down the field to really help the Club. That's just a curse of running a 4.2 or whatever he runs.
BTW, I was watching an old Raiders game last night from '76. (Think: Howard Cosell, The Giffer, and Dandy Don Meredith.) Kenny Stabler would just drop back and float it to Cliff Branch who was leading the NFL w/ 25.7 yards a catch going into the game. 🦁
Hey Tailor Made! I'm with you on the throwback to the 70's and early 80's Raiders setups on offense. I think Detroit could do many similar setups and put pressure on the other team's defense.
There is a lot of strong talent on the team. Now it comes upon Ben Johnson to put that talent in the right spots to succeed. =)
Hope you're doing well!
@@lionstalklive9931 No doubt, Dan.
I ain't saying Ben Johnson is some offensive guru or anything like that. The game is completely different now. You go back and watch ANY of those old Monday Night Football matchups. Cats were out there getting lambasted over the middle by the defense. So, offenses HAD to go outside w/ the deep threat.
Of course, you had "Air Coryell" and even some of the late '60s Chiefs using the TEs to get up the field. I guess my point is today's NFL is freer (because the DBs cain't hit) for the offense to make plays AND the best OCs can draw from each era to get creative.
I used to line up at Corner many moons ago, myself. It might not require you to be the most physical on the field. But, you've got to have the athleticism to backpedal however many yards until the WR cuts the route and STILL *try* to make a play on the ball.
W/ your hands. 🦁
@@lionstalklive9931 Just to piggyback on my initial thought, Dan.
I was just watching some kid's video. "Football Analysis" is the name of his channel. I'm checking emails. Not really paying it much attention. Then, I spot something on the clip.
The Lions are playing the Cowboys. Don't know down or distance. (Let alone what the scoreboard reads or time on the clock. And, the kid's not even talking about the play.) But, Goff is in the gun w/ Gibbs to the right of him. Strong side set-up from the right hash. Gibbs heads horizontal toward the flat w/ the snap like he's got a wheel.
Micah Parsons is a gap off LaPorta's right shoulder. Sewell doesn't have his hand on the turf pre-snap. LaPorta doesn't chip and is headed toward a route OUTSIDE of the hash and Sewell tries backing into picking up Parsons. Gets beat on the inside and Parsons is all over Goff.
Goff heaves it downfield btw the hashes just as Parsons gets his hands up and on him.
Result: 63 yard reception to Jameson Williams.
Who runs a 40-yard post? Nobody. And, Goff was looking at Williams the WHOLE time after the snap. Cowboys have no safety help. Because Malik Hooker's mind is somewhere else on the field.
That's coaching. 🦁
Man we are going to have some hard calls at cut time.
Nice intro btw coach !
You’re not wrong! And thanks!!!
@Rando I played softball with you. Did I miss the CC memorial game with Boston Betty this year?
Hey coach. For some reason I couldn't comment on the live today. Yes, I am subbed. Any ideas what to do?
That I don’t know. But let me look into it and see what I can find out.
If Manu was placed on the practice squad another team would 1000% snag him.
Yep. I agree. I don’t foresee any of the rookie class getting put on the PS.
Whats up about Josh Reynolds
She’s gone to a new team.
Goff lol. Jk
😂
Suprise cut candidates...
Onzirike
Cominsky
Moseley
Craig Reynolds
James Mitchell
Definitely NOT Amik, wtf LoL
Yep. Amik won’t be cut. I agree on the rest.
