- Former cabinet minister Sir Jacob Rees-Mogg has become the latest in a string of senior Tories to lose their seat.
Sir Jacob lost his seat of Somerset North East & Hanham to Labour's Dan Norris by more than 5,000 votes.

Jacob Rees-Mogg's voice can be described as a caricature of an overinflated aristocrat, with an accent so posh it sounds like it’s been marinated in centuries of old money and privilege. His intonation oozes with the kind of smug superiority that seems more suited to delivering lectures on the proper etiquette of tea sipping rather than engaging in modern political discourse. It's the vocal equivalent of a monocle and top hat, utterly detached from the common rabble. Thank God he’s gone!

I'm 67yrs of age, I have never enjoyed anything more in my life. To watch the blood drain from his face, when he heard what Labour got, and realised he had lost his seat. He won't be lying on the bench in Parliament, being disrespectful again.
I've always been a Tory voter but there's nothing that makes me happier than to see this guy go. Some of the other Tories I feel a little sorry for but not those that partied and not this guy. Labour needs to keep track of what happens on the right as a unified centre right vote would be a strong challenge are the next election.
