Redbacks are less expensive and better than Blundstone, but they lean toward a workboot look, if you are trying to avoid that. I don’t have Silvas, but I like my other BS boots quite a lot. However, my experience was 2 to 3 months of wait time.
Nice review! May have to snag a pair. Just like my Higgins Mills with that soft sole, I'll just replace with a vibram when it wears down. Not even a full resole, just a swap so it's fairly cheap.
@StrayReviews if boots are totally blown out or wore down, they may need a new leather midsole, or even a new welt. So that's much more in depth. Welt, stitching, hot cork, leather midsole, then new outsole. But if you're just replacing an outsole on new boots or a pair is just a little worn down, they can just remove and glue on a new outsole without needing to redo stitch work or the leather midsole. That's my boot Ted talk lol. Good stuff, man.
Appreciate this video. I am currently waiting for the same spec boot to arrive. This is the only video I’ve seen with the Walnut color and it does look better than website. How are they holding up?
@@StrayReviews Update: I recently received my boots, they actually look spot on with the website. They might have been a little more liberal with the wax on yours. They still look great and are unbelievably comfortable.
I have difficult to fit feet. I can’t just buy “my usual size” online. I will shop locally and try on many shoes in a few sizes and widths from 11W to 13. So buying online is lie 90% returns. Beckett Simonon is one of the ONLY shoes I bought in my brannock size and fit perfect. Johnston and Murphy also is a good fit for me right off the rack.
Damn these boots look pretty good. I’ve never considered these type of boots before. I have some of their sneakers and belts though. Both are high quality leather. Just don’t like the wait time… rest review as always.
The blundstone Chelseas are over rated. They do not hold to the quality that is expected for the brand. Im not a fan of Chelsea to be honest but my wife is. Ill be looking at these for a woman's boot for her. They would be great for her when camping
@@StrayReviews i bought a pair of doc Chelsea for my wife at Christmas. Shes never paid half that so they were a big step up for her and she loves them. Now im trying to get her to buy something a little better

Wow, that’s quite a wait. Fortunately, I’ve never had to make an exchange.

Very cool. I didn’t know changing the sole was that easy.

@@chadgraber4575 Very nice! Thanks so much for the info!
Nice review and great looking boots! How are the soles holding up though? Thanks.
Thanks so much! So far so good. However I really only wear them when it rains, so I haven’t gotten a ton of wears in them.

Excellent. With colder/wet weather coming up, I'm looking forward to having them on more.

@@damiandiaz6727 Excellent!
Are they Goodyear welted or Blake stitched ? I can't find any information on this.
Blake stitched. Most of Beckett Simonon's boots are.
How waterproof are they?
So far just as waterproof as they claim to be. Nice and dry.

I have the same experience with them. I’ve never had to send a pair back. They even throw in a pair of insoles in case the fit isn’t just right. 👍

Thank you! I have their Morgen Trainers, and they're some of my favorite sneakers.

I bought my wife her first pair of Chelseas two years ago. She really liked them, and now she has several pairs.
