Alto2 Choir Practice: “Os Justi”, Anton Bruckner, WAB 30, is an eight-part motet (SSAATTBB) for mixed chorus. The work was composed in 1879, and published in 1886. This work is one of "Four Graduals" published in 1886, The others are “Locus iste”, “Virga Jesse”, and “Christus factus est”. The text of “Os justi” comes from Psalm 37: 30-31 : "The mouth of the just shall meditate wisdom, and his tongue shall speak judgment. The law of his God is in his heart, and his steps shall not be supplanted. Alleluia."
Os justi meditabitur sapientiam,
et lingua ejus loquetur judicium.
Lex Dei ejus in corde ipsius:
et non supplantabuntur gressus ejus. Alleluia
