I know this video is a bit older but this helped me out tremendously. Broke the display of my S7 and managed to get a second one for cheap. Just swapped boards and everything works just perfectly fine. Thanks alot, saved me quite a lot of headache and money for sure.

Im pretty savvy with pc's, but this was the first time I've ever broken open a cell phone, worked like a charm, thanks for the play by play! Repair store was gonna charge 200 bucks to replace my screen, so I just put my motherboard into another s7 I snagged off of marketplace for 60 bucks! Couldnt wait for a new screen, got calls coming in about jobs and starting college plus needed all my txts to be intact for custody court evidence, and I got everything back, thanks again!

Great video. You even used household tools which is great for amatuers. If you don't have exactly the same S7 board( maybe you have a different region motherboard) do not be afraid. Just follow the steps and it will works out without any issues. Thanks man and good luck to anyone trying this repair in future :)

Perfect and very informative video. I will be attempting a motherboard replacement myself as Samsung has refused to fix my reboot issue under warranty. My one question is will I still have the IP68 water resistance after I replace the motherboard using the existing adhesive/new adhesive in your link, or will I lose the water resistance? If so, maybe you can advise if there are any OEM adhesives for the Galaxy S7 that will keep the water resistance.

Hello, I notice that there are a lot of different version of S7 motherboard... it is possible to replace the motherboard of a single SIM S7 SM-G930V with an S7 dual sim motherboard (like G930FD)? thanks in advance for you help.
