    I really like how you concept Fe-Ti, because it's so tiring to see people assign certain actions to the Fi function, Rosa Parks herself is an example that not every Fe user will do what is conventional in her time. These stereotypes spoil the view on types. Great video!

    I'm an ENFP, and my brother is an ISFJ (as I've now confirmed by listening to this video). I definitely think they are some of the most underrated types-I get along great with him, and so does my INFJ boyfriend (they have very similar interests). I really appreciate your evaluation of Si, which is something I'm quite unfamiliar with. In particular, the idea that "following your heart" is a foreign concept to ISFJs was enlightening. As an ENFP, and as an older sister, I've tried (and failed) many times to convince my college-aged brother of following his dreams, of searching deep within his heart for his one true calling, only to confuse and inadvertently push him into doing what I want him to do. Over the years, I've had to learn how to not manipulate him like this.
    In general, though, I find it interesting how we get along so well, especially in terms of humor. Despite my propensity for randomness (which I believe is a very Ne thing) he manages to keep up very well, and when we were in high school together, people who knew us both said our speech patterns and jokes were very similar. The balance and interaction between Ne and Si is really interesting to me, and I know for a fact that not all ISFJs are stodgy, conservative maternal figures!
    Now I'm onto the final enigmatic frontier: ESFJs. I'll be watching your video on them next!

    • @Hizzukka
      @Hizzukka 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      +Marcie LaCerte I'm an ENFP, too, and my little sister is ISFJ. Though we're very different, we always have great conversations and good laughs. She's more interested in facts and details than me and I've learned a lot from her when we've talked about popular culture, politics, sports etc. She's also very reliable and happy to help me. (And damn, do I need help!) Whereas my own random ENFP life, with weird twists and new experiences, seems to be a source of laughter for her. I think she's not very happy to step out of her comfort zone but I guess she is still able to appreciate my different life style.
      I just hope that she finds some good man (humorous and reliable) and they have children so my sister's personality can truly shine. Early adulthood has not been very easy for her since most of her friends like to party and live recklessly whereas she is more happy staying at home. I bet she will be a great mom and wife!

      Aww thats nice she takes care of you meticulously and reliably :) Im an ISFJ Male.... young man. I love being an isfj though at times I feel Im boring and at dis-advantage because people like to exploit others a lot these days and other types are ''flamboyant/exciting''

    • @Hizzukka
      @Hizzukka 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I have to admit that I can't disagree with you: the reliability and trustworthiness aren't as big values as they used to be (IMO) and that's why there's more room for games, flightiness and pickiness. I myself admire the ISFJ personality but sometimes the lack of intuitiveness (N) can be a problem for me. (This is my personal problem with most of the people.) I'd still say that ISFJ guy with a developed Ti-Ne is probably one of the most sexiest things ever and definitely beats the more "flamboyant/exciting" types.

    Literally the only thing that doesn't match here with me is the "can't help being in the present" part. I heavily relate to everything else. Most of the things I've either read or heard about introverted sensing is like describing the most intimate and constant part of me. But for the life of me, I can not get ahold of time. The present is almost always 10 minutes ago, unless I'm doing something I'm really invested in and locked in on the moment. Otherwise, time and I do not get along and never have. However, I do fit the mold of the introverted, protective, routine-oriented, extroverted feeler. And I do have a lot of intense memories and am prone to nostalgia.
    I wish I could keep track of time.

    Good evening! I was apparently wrong about my functions, turns out I must have had the shadow instead of my actual functions. I read through some things and found out that I am not ISFP, but an ISFJ instead. Which leads me to a question, if you don't mind.
    How can a turbulent childhood (alchoholic father, violent, verbally abusive to mother) affect ISFJ personalities? I have noticed whenever a heated discussion arises, I can't help but relive those years as well as the abuse that went with them. Though it was aimed at mother and not my sister and I; it was still terrifying to listen to. So, how can this environment affect both ISFJ (myself) and INFP personalities? (my sister; whom jumped into the fray I might add, as well is the younger one. Regretfully for us both, I tried to get her out and or hid under the bed/outside).
    Could this be the reason that I had been mistyping myself? Stuck in a Si-Ti loop or in the grip of Ne? I am so sorry for this; I feel as if I had burdened you with useless questions...

    • @tulip5210
      @tulip5210 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      the last question was very isfj and cute, girl you should check out meghan lovata, she has a facebook group that you can pitch this question to. I don't personally have answers to this. Your si i imagine would be affected by this significant event, trauma tends to lead people to depend on functions that are not their core functions.

I still think that i can regard 'self-evident truths and principles' as you called them with a personal very Fi kind of passion, and i think that 'becoming something different' can in some way result in you becoming who you *really* are, kind of like becoming 'more of yourself' your true self through that change. • @Anonymous_Anon882
      @Anonymous_Anon882 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@talwyn_cc I do resonate with your post all-in-all, though. That’s one of the reasons why I actually get really pissed off and annoyed when people lump INFJs in with INTJs (and allied dry mechanically-minded so-and-sos) just because of lead Ni and what-have-you. Beyond sharing one dominant cognitive function in common (which really just gives them a symbolic, abstractial edge but in other fundamentals varies widely depending on how they actually choose to use it) INTJs and INFJs are really quite far-removed from each other, in my opinion at least. I know people look at very reserved INFJs and lump them in with INTJs because they look very similar on the outside but one fundamental difference is that INFJs are very, very interested in human psychology and the welfare of other people (like ENFJs but in a more removed, armchair-psychologist-from-a-deck-chair-with-a-bottle-of-Southern Comfort-and-bag-of-chips-to-boot distance). Whatever feeling tone INTJs have is incredibly personal to them alone because it’s incredibly introverted and in their case even repressed, whereas INFJs even when they’re alone (which tends to be quite a lot of the time when they have it their way and aren’t forced to socialise by the pushy outgoing people around them) are always thinking about other people (with a particularly high E.Q., whether it’s externally-apparent or not, to boot). INFJs are psychiatrists and humanistic-psychologically-oriented people by their very nature whereas INTJs are just cold masterminds (with a certain repressed inner sensitivity and deep personal feeling, notwithstanding), engineers and data analysts. Both types have their blatant advantages but INFJs value emotional intelligence way too much to want to be lumped in with characteristically borderline-autistic robots (INTJs, cold ISTPs) just because they have a somewhat similar outer appearance. In their innermost core they’re very, very different people. One’s a reserved, abstract humanitarian-personal psychologist and prolific, entertaining writer. The other’s a cold wannabe logician (no shade, like, but you know what I mean). I wish people would be able to tell the difference and link INFJs more to the types their innermost cores and ideas resonate with more past lead Ni (ENFJs, ENFPs, rustic ISFJs and even ENTPs to some extent). The INFJ/INFJ stuff I feel is based on over-played surface-level nonsense. It doesn’t say much about the real person underneath other than the dominant way they prefer to process information. What you see isn’t always what you actually get, at least not more than 50%.
      And I’ve written another Bible and thesis in one. I don’t know how i keep going off/doing this. Expressing my thoughts succinctly on paper blatantly isn’t my strong point.

      My best friend is an ISFJ and she is one of the most fascinating individuals I've ever known. Not due to her insight, but due to her general behaviour and psychology. It's a silent, humble brilliance that is very hard to extract from her, but is nonetheless absolutely there.

    They're on the bottom rung of mbti for me. Among my least liked types, along with the INFP and ENFP
