@@vladimirlenin693 You should follow through with an engine, looking to see how it punishes the move. Do try to understand the moves it makes, but it should be fine if you don’t completely understand something like a quiet queen or knight move. Eventually you will be able to incorporate the moves it gives you into your own games. The Benoni has very similar ideas so you shouldn’t need to struggle much.

Great to be back benefiting once again. This time it was Kasparov that first grabbed my attention for the Beoni as I continue looking for repertoire "All" Against the London. So grateful for your methods of instruction here as they are both clear and strong in that the foundations layered lead to outcome proving most solidly helpful for those of us trying to learn new openings from scratch. Your Ch. is favored for these & other reasons to also include a pleasant Host Demeanor that again, is another very helpul factor for the student. A Huge Thumbs up for you as usual with Much Thanks!! It's a real pleasure to share out to others such an excellent, effective and pleasant source. As Always, Blessings Your Way from Oregon! ... Mike.

Came here because I’ve been arriving at this exact structure from the KID. Since white’s Bg5 is trendy now and it seems black’s c5 break is a common alternative to Qe8, h6, Nh7, and f5 break (as in the KID Petrosian variation) which is more complicated. After black’s c5 the KID seems to almost always transpose to the modern Benoni structure.

11:25 What do you recommend for black to play? Re8 or Ne8? Ne8 is better according to the engine and leaves the Queen more versatile, but the thing I really like about Re8 is that you are then able to save your Benoni Bishop with Bh8 because the rook isn't anymore on f8.

Fabulous set of videos! Question, you state that you like the early ...Bg4 to trade the bishop for white’s useful knight, but why can’t white just retreat it to d2 anyway, thus setting up a bishop trade and still letting him jump to c4? Also, when you continue to discuss that line, what good response does black have if white lines up the queen and bishop to force a trade of black’s “killer” bishop? With that gone, doesn’t that significantly undermine blacks chances on the queen side? Thanks!

  • @warartgaming870

Something is strange is 12.33 - Knight can't take the pawn because BxNg4 for free, and also the position before Nxe4 shows 2.1 for White. So I am not sure if black is on the right track here.

27:04 Why can’t Black play Nc4? You said you’re going to lose it, but white can’t take it with the a3 knight since the a1 rook is hanging, so black can take the rook and win an exchange if white plays Nxc4
