Kudus would be the ideal replacement for Gundogan. He left a big void when he left City. Kudus banged in 18 for Ajax last season. Pep should sign him immediately. If he stays at Ajax and has another season like last, his value will soar. If City move now, they can secure his services for £34 m = €40 m that's a bargain, he's just turned 23 he will be worth double that come January if he keeps banging them in like last season.

I honestly feel Ajax should offer him a whole bag of moneys to stay another year.
Finishing 3rd was already showing they're not good enough, losing Timber, Tadic, Alvarez and Kudus would be impossible to replace in one year.
Kudus only established himself in the 1st team this season, selling him after 1 good season is too soon.
Arsenal already got Timber from us, should tell them to look elsewhere now.
I'm sorry but this is funny... I had a debate with ajax fans when man utd were trying to get eth. This ajax fan states that it is no issue for ajax to replace any of their players with their youth academy players. If they couldn't replace it by using their academy players, they will buy players from other clubs. At the end of the day, ajax will be just fine if managers or players leave their club because it has been their modus operandi
But not sure why man utd insist of going for hojlund when this guy right there is available at reasonable price🤔
@@username22571 They have done that succesfully several times. But we now have different people in charge of recruitment entirely.
Last year pretty much every new player they got in was an expensive misfire. So my recency bias lowers expectations.
If you had that debate when United were getting ten Hag, that means it was before last season happened. They hadn't yet experienced the new technical staff at work yet, and basing it on the success of the previous.
@@menno7349 but one of the main arguments were ajax teams and staffs is the best... Most filled with football minded people. Its ajax culture to replace those who leave be it staffs, players or managers... But it still is funny for a well run football club to have a horrible season, last season.

@@username22571 Well all those people of the staff at Ajax left. So that's not much of an argument anymore. Yes they did great for several years, last season new staff gave it a try and completely failed. This season it's again all new people, so we'll have to wait and see.
And as an Ajax fan, thanks to United for massively overpaying for Antony. Hopefully Martinez being good makes up for that.

City should buy Kudus to replace Gundogan. He is a midfielder and not afraid to make a tackle. He banged in 18 goals last year. City are down 30+ goals without KDB GUNDOGAN and MAHREZ. They desperately need to fill that void. To me, Kovacic does not cut it.
