    I'm not gonna lie here, this job looks complicated AF. Saw an ad online for an 2011 skidoo etec with blown motor. Was thinking about getting it , but now having second thoughts. I am mechanically inclined , however my knowledge of skidoo does exceed the 2004 Rev (which was a walk in the park to rebuild.)

      Luv the performance but miss the days of just lifting the hood and having access to the motor without special tools. Oh well.

    Wow! Where was this sled stored!! The corrosion is bad. I'm in MN and my 15, 16, and 17 looks nothing like that! I have over 3k on each sled.

    They sell or you can make a secondary clutch jackshaft tool that screws on the chain case end of the jackshaft. Just pull the rubber bolt cover off and gear bolt and screw on the tool and pull it thru the gear leaving the tool in the gear and case, unscrew from jackshaft. This leaves the tool in the upper gear and holds it in place. Then when you replace the jackshaft just do the reverse and pull the jackshaft back thru the gear. This is so you don't have to take the chain case cover off. My not be worth a onetime thing though. but if you a few.

      go for it. pretty easy. Would recommend long reach pliers and ratcheting wrenches.

    In side the chain case the arm for the adjuster comes off nice and cleanly so you don't have to mess with tension and what not it's pretty handy👌🏽

    Helpful! Hey i have a 16 ski doo 800 and do i need to hook to dealer BUDs computer to rep-rime oil?

    • @bobbyrebussini1466
      @bobbyrebussini1466  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes but There’s ways around it. You can run the summerize procedure 3-4 times or, you can pull the moror without disturbing the oil lines

    • @AAhshitsun
      @AAhshitsun ปีที่แล้ว

      @@bobbyrebussini1466 ok, hows that? I pulled the motor and just pulled the oil lines off the motor. I left all the lines on the raves as well and just pulled the knives out of the cylinders and set aside in engine bay

    • @bobbyrebussini1466
      @bobbyrebussini1466  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@AAhshitsun actually I’m wrong. You can pull the motor without disturbing fuel. You will be able to see air bubbles in oil lines. So summer is until bubbles out

    Do you have to bleed the oil pump and radiator? Going to rebuild my 800 etec next summer,has 11000km now but i will run it this winter still and hope for the best😅 gonna get new pistons and cranck and just make sure everything is fine, should last long after the rebuild

    Hey this videos helped a lot as I’m putting a motor back in 2012 summit 800 etec. That at I didn’t take apart! But I need more help … what is the orientation of the fuel lines.. if you watch the skidoo video of the etec engine computer animation to me the fuel is going the wrong way through the injectors to my understanding of how they work… can you help me out!

    etec is bullshit and so costy to repair....get a good old carb, not costy at all to repair and less eletronic on the skidoo....so less problem.

    • @bobbyrebussini1466
      @bobbyrebussini1466  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think the sdis suck. I’d rather have a carb than an sdi. Etecs are so smooth and efficient. Worth it in my opinion

    So much corrosion on a new motor should always run a cover going down the highway so much salt on that block sad sad
