did anyone else notice that in the lakeview episode, the author introduced maggie and sam as mom and dad in the opening credits? that makes me think that their kids might become characters in season 2.

Spoilers: I noticed a couple of things in the Lakeview chapter. The first thing was the squirrel eating a finger and having a stitching marks on its belly. Squirrels are omnivores which means they eat, bugs, eggs, and plants but hardly do we see them eat humans unless they're stress out (they even eat their kids too). I am not sure about the stitch marking; probably some kind of experiment. The cop mentioned "they don't do cars in town" Which may imply they can't escape even if they wanted to. Also the cop put on a "happy" sticker on his body once he brought them to the neighborhood. One of their new neighbor Julian had 2 on him (I think he was a guy despite his pink mask). I also am not sure about the markings on their heads are about. Julian had a butterfly and Laura the mayor had a heart. I am not sure what either of these things mean but I am assuming it is some sort of status thing, special privileges, or maybe something that would take them to a different location (a better place than lakeview maybe). We still don't know what triggers the red eye. It does happen in uncomfortable situations and it also happens when they're in their homes as well. I first thought it was whenever someone experienced sadness/grief or anger yet we see maggie and Linda display those emotions (especially when linda tried to kill someone). It's probably triggered by auditory words and phrases. I want to say it happens whenever someone doesn't comply with someone but it also happened when Greg the old neighbor said that "there was something off" with with the officer Tom (which wasn't actually Tom), which I am not sure if it's directly related to compliance. I am open to hearing ideas about the things I discussed.

Probably they not only take kids, if not anyone who has emotional attachment to their objectives, only that we have seen more children because it is much easier to capture them, and to use as blackmai
