I feel like the single red eye could be them being shown their child, to remind them what they have to loose and give them a reason to fall in line.
But what about those who don't have a kid? They can't all be parents.
spoilers (also my opinion)
In my opinion it is most likely a recording software (like red = convo being recorded and anything can be held liable) so that forces them to fall back in line
could also explain why they are safe in places following that electromagnetic thing: perhaps it interferes with their recording's signal? im not too smart on this field but then how would phones work down there still
some spoilers
I think that since almost everything (other than the foil rooms) is being listened to, i think a red eye is a warning, in order to maintain a perfect society. They are basically telling them that they need to her perfect and to just agree.
Or Maybe Theyre ROBOTS!
@@MrSeb81 did you see that homeless kid with a torn mask they're definitely people wearing a mask
I think Winston was a stand-in for Maggie and Sam’s daughter. They were able to play at being parents for a short time, and then they lost that privilege. Maybe that’s why they feel so sick about what happened to him.
The cat heads may also be to lower down strife and confusion based on facial expressions
sometimes people will get angry at another person based on the way that another person looked at them
like one woman accidentally looked at my mom angrily or maybe she wasn't even looking at my mom but my mom was like "oh I could have killed her for that" because she thought she did
so it's possible that the cat heads are to hide the true emotions or feelings so that people don't begin to hate each other
Everytime their eye glows red
I always thought it was a bomb that would kill them if they messed up
Because of the episode where the cat face is in the stew pot and its left eye pops
I think the cat heads are a metaphor of being expressionless. Since cat’s face muscles can’t move like a human’s.
You're PFP says otherwise
The creator of the comic did a Q&A and they said it was because they found cats creepy
:D yay I was looking for an explanation of some kind about this webtoon. Thanks for posting. I haven't been able to find alot of interesting content online lately🙁 gonna check out your channel :3
I'm just wondering how Winston died and the way Sam literally gave the homeless man Winston 🤢
i’m assuming since they’ve been trapped like this for years then maybe winston was a gift for their daughter or she named him/had a close bond so when he passed away they knew they wouldn’t be able to just bury him, they’d have to throw him away somehow and forget they ever had him, so they just pretended he was still alive for the microphones so they didn’t have to lose that last piece of their daughter. i think they gave him to the homeless guy since they’re clearly against the system and they decided doing something selfless was more important than hanging on, that’s what i think
@@Iuxinterior Yeah they probably gave Winston to the guy because it’s the only thing that they can give to the guy that he can eat that isn’t poisoned (because it seems like they’re required to put poison in their trash so that guys like him can’t eat it) and at that point didn’t Sam tell his wife to forget? So I think it’s like a way of signifying that they should forget what happened and move on.
Hey, men need to help men, am I right?
He got one red eye before going out side so he was warned if he wouldn't
I also feel like the masks are a way to keep up a happy expressionless demeanor without just using the whole "happy pills/drugs/injections" trope.
*ahem* We Happy Few
Actually, when Maggie kills Tom (the Officer) you can see the part where she bashed his head open - that there is an actual brain inside but the color is not the usual pinkish normal brain color and there was some type of green fluid.
Been getting so much ads about this series. Wanted to see if it was any good, your video was amazing.

Are we going to ignore the fact that the clock says 2:60?!
In the future episodes the clock goes up to 90, as in for example, 7:90 pm
@@Anomalyundetected THE WHAT
I never even noticed that there where no children in the comic. It’s really unsettling to think about. All the theories that are here, make be scared, sad, and absolutely enraged. I honestly like “everything is fine” so far, but at the same time..… I also f*cking hate it.
This story is too realistic.
That webtoon gives off we happy few vibes they even have similar groups the main are people who are forced to be happy they also wear masks the "downers" become downers because of the law and there a shadow organization forcing people to be happy
That's usually in most dystopian societies movies.
I’ve binge read it and I’m still waiting for a part two
I'm glad that i became curious and saw this comic before watching this vídeo :^)
I think that there is some sort of dystopian company making sitcoms for real people to watch, like the Truman show. The police have lives but also enforce when people don’t act there part. There are no children because we all know no matter what if our children were taken we would mourn and want them back. The children are being held in camps and when they become red status it shows something bad happening to their child maybe execution or something else, so that’s why they go ape when red status is turned on. The children are kept in the household until to age of 15 and when there over that they are kidnapped and taken to holding camps and given amnestics so they never remember anything. The single red eye is to cut out footage when something bad is happening so the real world doesn’t see what’s happening. When the children are adults they are told what’s happened and given an excuse of why they can’t remember and sent into the sitcom and when the parents are old the drive around on schedule and set every neighborhood on fire to make a fresh clean slate. Then the cycle repeats and repeats and repeats. The children being held is what keeps most people follow the rules. The cat heads are placed so the real world can’t see there feelings. And in the basement when sam said “it’s been a while since I heard you real voice” I think the editors of this sitcom minupulate the voices so the real world can’t hear how they actually sound, if there crying angry mad they can say things in free will but are usually sounding happy
I’m mainly thinking about what is the deal with the cat heads and what the people look like without them
That's exactly what I was thinking too, assuming from what it's shown on the last chapter we see officer tom (and the homeless guy's chapter too), the size of the cat heads really isn't just for esthetic reasons. It seems like their brains are actually that big, how? I have no idea but it'll be interesting once we find out, since the kids also use the cat heads I wonder if it's something that happened before all of this
I always felt like there’s something weird about the dead dog, Winston. And... Spoiler alert, I think he was... Rat poisoned? He’s been dead for a long time...
That would... make sense. However I don't think that's correct since the homeless guy said he was thankful that it wasn't poisoned, which is why he ate the dog.
hahahahah at the end they try to get rid of a police man called tom
Genuine question: so I'm really sensitive to content involved dogs dying or being bloody due to trauma so I was wondering how bad the dog thing is? Like this seems so damn interesting but gore is not my thing especially when it comes to dogs.
There was no gore or anything coming from the dog! :) it died / fot eaten off screen
Dog was jacked up
Blood, dog guts everywhere, absolutely horrible.
The dog died off screen, but in a Panel there is in fact the dogs corpse but you won’t see it if you don’t squint or look intensely
It’s near the bottom of the comic/towards the end of the chapter so you can just speed past it and continue readingv
spoilers obviously, but when i reread the comic i noticed that maggie was staring at an empty park because she misses her kids, and there are no children in the world
oh god i just thought of this..............what if they're living in some sort of milgram-esque type of social experiment/medical trial. that would explain a lot of the psychology from the series....maybe they signed up for trials, didnt know what they were getting into, maybe the couples just wanted money or something......and then the trial ended up taking their kids and exploiting the parents love for them and making them live in some sort of forced utopian society.................
winston is scary tbh
We all knew this joke was going to come out of nowhere, This world is a little SuSsy.

Literally went on tiktok live right after finishing this series to ask the same questions but like. What is happening?! And can I just get the rest of the series now?!
Also, I don't have kids but my mom would burn the world to get me back if she could. And I'd do the same for my beautiful dogs❤
