I have pretty much this same car except I’m the premier edition and also with the pearl white. Bought it brand new in May 2015 and just hit 60,000. I babied this car, regular maintenance, oil changes, tire rotations, garage kept and now we’re burning oil like a MF. The Volvo dealership just did an oil consumption test to confirm and now the case is headed to the factory to see if Volvo mgmt will kick in any part (or hopefully all of) the $9,000 engine rebuild cost. On top of that I have an estimate of $3,300 for a bunch of other stuff they reccommend doing while the engine is opened up. I’m not even sure what to do if keeping this car is worth it. I don’t want to get rid of it, nor do I want to pay $50,000 for something comparable today.
