Do you have any recommendations for an emergency bivy if you get caught in an afternoon summer thunderstorm on route above treeline and you need to hunker down? I've got a space blanket but concerned about if that will attract lightning being that it's metallic.

would light rain jacket like an outdoor research helium pertex 2,5L be suitabable as the main jacket you bring for alpine rock trips ? Seems like a lot of people prefer full on goretex pro shells, to me it seems like alot of jacket to carry just in case of precip.

Do you ever bring a tarp for shelter on these types of climbs?

Definitely. It all depends on the forecast/preference, but I do sometimes bring a piece of Tyvek house wrap you could lay on top of and fold over the top of you.

Hey Jessie! Yeah, so there was supposed to be a quick segment where we point out that part of the "group gear" would be carried by your partner. Didn't quite get that in the edit! Thanks for watching!

Good point! We have since got a lot better at capturing audio. As it turns out, you're onto a good point - sound is just as important as the visual. Thanks for watching and we hope you enjoy the channel!
