I am doing this "recording the melody" technique to practice the harmony... its easier than to look for someone to sing the melody... 😁😁 the only problem I find is that there are days when my ears can hear the melody easily and there are days when I couldn't... I think I need to practice more... By the way, thanks for this video.. God bless you 😊😊
Great video, I still don't understand how you know what notes to sing though, as the harmony melody is different from the lead melody, how do you know where to go?
it's been a year since u posted this. I hope you found your answer but in case you haven't, it's based on the chord. Every note you play, it's actually part of a chord. You can tell which chord it is mainly by your left hand since it will play the bass right. Once you find the chord, then you know Top note is Soprano, Middle Note is Alto and lower note is Tenor In case this was totally way off your question, here's how she knows where to go. She's following the intervals. That's just something your ears tells you this is right or wrong when you play it

You have to know your notes, so whatever key the melody is in, go up 3 notes or 5 notes higher and sing it there. Or lower could work too
