Why Lasso-Spider Does NOT Work (do this instead)

- IF YOU HAVE A HARD TIME SWEEPING WITH SPIDER-LASSO THIS VIDEO IS FOR YOU!
in my humble opinion Spider-lasso doesn't work well together because one takes the leverage from the other,
if you want to make the sweep happen, you will need to let go one of your connections, if you want to sweep with SPIDER, you need to take off your LASSO, Or if you want to sweep with the LASSO, you will need to take your SPIDER OUT.
please if you can make the sweep happen with both connections at the same time let me know i would love to see that.

Thank you for explaining the difference. I’ve always had difficulty trying to spider sweep with the lasso. It makes sense to treat both guards separately when attacking. BIG OSS💯
Well this comes in handy hahaha been doing the sweeps professor Marcos taught me for years, but yeah, I tend to stall with this position and get stuck. Fresh reminder of why that is happening and what to do next! Thanks Marcos!

The only good sweep I personally use from spider/lasso against standing opponent is to move lasso foot in the middle between opponent’s legs and sweep overhead. Good for stalling though 😂
When I have spider lasso, I like hooking DLR on the lasso side, then I get the spider sweep without switching grips.
Hey Marcos, after seeing your videos I decided to implement the lasso in my game. I am purple belt and my main guard is collar sleeve but I find it to hard to get underneath the base to sweep when the opponent has good elbow knee connection. One concern is can the deep lasso be dangerous for your knees when the other is spazzing around? Thank you so much
That’s awesome.. this is a good game and collar sleeve isn’t far from lasso..so With the deep lasso you control better your opponent in my humble opinion shallow lasso can dangerous for you knee because they can move more.. BIG OSS
