    I have to admit I appreciate the realism it's striving for. It may be the game closest to my own alternative TTD game idea ever, the only thing lacking in here is real-time construction, where it would take a real amount of time to build the tracks and trains. I must check it out sometime and looking forward to more videos on it

      Rreal-time construction? Imagen how long you would have to wait tog et your first line up and running.

    I have found that setting up a tram station immediately adjacent to your main rail lines allows for a significant number of transfers to occur. In my current game, WAY more pax are being fed into the main line from transfers than those that begin in initial cachement area. Consider Nottingham, with nine thousand people. You can have three spur lines, of five stations each, and with two thousand people in each of the 15 tram stations...effectively tripling the available passengers, and each turning a (small) profit. This also generates destinations from other cities, indirectly increasing their traffic as well.

    • @NipapornP
      @NipapornP 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Exactly. That's the main idea in this game.

    learnt a couple of new things here, so that was good and any portrayal of Nottingham as a good place to be is a plus in my view. I suspect you will have all your trains running overnight when there will be almost no passengers so that might be a reason to put in depots for now until the update comes.

    Ya, unless you have a huge population in your catchment area it can be fairly difficult to make decent money. I do find that the max area can seem a little small in many cases though. You would think that a bigger station should have a bigger maxed sized catchment area, or some mechanic to allow for a more dynamic sized boundary.

      @@NipapornP sure but if the city is not huge enough for it's own train system yet too little for a single station you can put two stations in a same city to cover more area. Idk if that is uncommon on Britain but here in Spain that ain't weird.

    If you had done a simulation at an average speed before setting the interval you would have known what the actual travel time would / could be and you could have set the interval of trains leaving sharper, might still be an option now of course after they left

    With the currency being USD... I would say that the amount you start with is 1 Billion as they pretty much standardized as 1,000,000,000 being a billion and 1,000,000 as million etc. So the currency depicts the seperator.

    Cool! I used to live in Notts for a few years when I worked there, next to the Castle Marina a few hundred yards from the track near what was called The Triangle, on the other side of the station. No longer, but it brought back memories, so I'm looking forward to seeing that line extension!
    Does the game download the full map locally, or can it also dynamically connect to a map server? Might be fun doing this on top of satellite imagery (although I guess you would see the track too clearly...)

    Birmingham - Coventry - Rugby is quite good as you get above 30000 sometimes in different place in Birmingham and cov and where Rugby station is you can get over 10000 and they are about as far apart as Lincoln and nottingham
    Edit: don’t place one near Birmingham airport you get about 300 passengers there, go at the second station up the line in birmingham

    Google Earth is of course a great reference to discover were all railroad tracks and stations are in the world and how the landscape looks. It shows me that Nottingham Railway Station has 6 tracks and there is a tram line direct above it, overpassing the station from south to north. At the western side the tracks are going through a short tunnel under the station building and the Carrington Street. The railroad leaving the station at the east side goes under the London Road, so the road there is the overpass, not the railtrack. East of the river the railroad runs directly north along a railyard and a depot. East of the railyard is the main road A612 overpassing the railroad. I have never been in Nottingham, all the knowledge is from Google Earth. One question, is it possible to build level crossings in the game were in real level crossings are?
