I use the Alpaka Elements tech case as a grab bag when I leave the house to ensure I have everything I need as I walk out the door. I have too much to carry in my pockets and not always enough to need a larger pack. This is a brief review of the Alpaka sling and the contents for the perfect EDC carry.
My name is Iain, I have a passion for all things 'gadget, travel and EDC' which has filled both my personal and work, both as an electrician and a magician.
I intend to make these videos to help and inspire others in their EDC journey along with getting suggestions from you the viewer. Thanks so much for watching.

very original, actual edc that people carry, lots of personal item.
not some unusable shiny pliers/multitools/knife that some people dont use often cuz they only following the hype
i hope your channel grows a lot man
Thanks so much!
He's got a very cool kit indeed, but don't knock the knife & multi-tools... Those 2 things & my flashlight are hands down the absolute most used items in my EDC. From opening mail & Amazon packages to tightening loose things or cutting away loose strings to crimping something or even cleaning & filing my nails lol. I literally use them everyday. Without my daily carry knife & my Leatherman, I think I'd feel naked & completely helpless lol.
Man, that is a lot of stuff.
Too right haha
might I reccomend a method to make this a little easier to follow along with - this video may have benefitted from a top down angle with the bad at the top, and the elements you're pulling out nearly organized around the edges. This method would give a better idea of all that you are able to fit into the bag! Cool kit though for sure
Thank you for the suggestion! I appreciate your feedback and will definitely consider using a top-down angle in my future videos to give a better idea of what's in the bag.
Check out my latest video coming out in a few hours time, I have a top down camera and you get a mention!
Just got an Alpaka! Loving it so far. Previously I've been all Peak Design, but their stuff is kind of camera-focused and most of their packs have a semi-hard shell design (to keep your camera safe). But that means that all of their packs always take up a fixed amount of space, even when completely empty (unless you really squish them down). The Alpaka is more compact in general, and more "squishy" even when full, so it doesn't take up as much room in my bigger travel bag.
That’s very true! I love the way this expands when needed. A great all round bag. It’s called a tech case which made me nervous initially but actually it’s very versatile. Thanks for watching and commenting! I hope you enjoy my upcoming content!
On me, I carry a pocket flashlight, pocket knife, multitool, battery bank with attached chords, slim wallet, phone, keychain w/ keys, a mini-edc pouch that holds my (eye drops, lotion, & lip balm), mints, earbuds and sunglasses.
I carry a deck of cards too. My kids and I play card games anytime we're waiting like at a restaurant. I also carry a personal umbrella.
In my sling bag, I carry a retractable pen, Sharpie, nail groom kit, a bandana, kleenex tissue, hand wipes (you carry hand sanitizer), little first aid/boo boo kit with safety pins, mylar blanket, screwdriver pen with bits, note pad, lighter, snack bar, water bottle (attached to my hero clip), hand warmers (winter time), cutlery with sauce packets in the container, pill container with pain relievers & allergy pills, wall plug & charger (with different ports), coin purse, floss picks, small gorilla tape, binder clip, paper clip, and rubber band.
Wow that is a cool loadout! Thanks for sharing
Love my elements tech case, interesting to see how different they can filled out :D
Yes great case!
Like an extra large Maverick from Dee Christopher and the1914
Yes I suppose it is! I also recommend the Alpaka Hub pouch as a cheaper non magic alternative!
@@iansedcI have done a EDC project on my channel and found using Temu to get cheap pouches to try out a good way.
Good advice! I’ll check it out.
I preprint (with a label maker) my home address, phone number of wife, & stick it to the back of my phone. One can also print a literal dog tag (laser engraved) and carry. It’s kind of like a homemade “RoadID”
That's a clever idea to ensure your important contact information is always easily accessible!
I'm still in the stone age and prefer a rucksack if I'm needing something more than my breeks and coat pockets. Apart from the extra space (which is not to be sniffed at), nobody bothers about a small rucksack as they're very common. I do have certain stuff that lives in wee pouches within it and at a push could cover me if I end up in hospital for a night with the inclusion of a small tube of toothpaste and folding brush. We will all tweak things to suit eh ?
Don’t worry I have a rucksack video coming soon
I have a similar note in case I get taken, but I put Bryan Mills phone number on it 😜
😆
Great kit setup. It's def strange to me as an American, to not see a good daily carry knife or multi tool in an EDC. They're the backbone of my EDC & literally the most used items next to my flashlight. I don't think I could get thru my day without them, I literally use them that much. But not everybody, I guess, has a daily need for those things.
For day to day social life I don’t need one but I will be sharing my bigger kit for my backpack which does contain a proper multitool!
