i had an lg g3 and right now i am using lg v30+. i am happy with LG except one thing. the update. they never update their phone OS to newer version. they will do only minor updates
Bought the LG v60 dual screen 5g. Phone had problems on DAY ONE. I was installing apps the apps I had on my old phone (s9+). I was not receiving texts. Found from ppl telling me. Checked the app and my phone froze, I couldn't exit or open the app or even turn it off. Phone turned off and restarted on it's own. Maybe I need an update from the play store. Phone froze again and restarted on it's own. This went on about 7 times. Finally able to see the text and replied then the app froze and restarted. Phone started to overheat and there was a slight smell of the rubber case burning. I'm returning it immediately. Bought it NEW at tmobile and had problems on the FIRST day. I came to see this video just to see how to re-packaged it back up. Good job Tim
I was somewhat interested until I noticed that my carrier (Verizon) as usual doesn’t sell the dual screen with the phone like T Mobile. In order to get the screen you have to jump through hoops and take pictures of your receipts and wait to be approved. Then if your lucky, the promo says you’ll get the dual screen in 6-8 weeks. Who tf wants to wait nearly 2 months for the gimmick that makes me want to buy it? Just let me pay another $100 to get it up front or give it to me free when I buy the phone. So basically Verizon wants you to waste money on a case to put on the phone for a couple months until your dual screen case arrives. I really wish I could get a T Mobile signal here because they do things the right way. They give you the gimmicky case when you buy the gimmicky phone.
I think they just dont want to sell LG. I love verizons service, but if it aint apple or samsung galaxy, they dont give a care. I always know more about the LG phone then Verizon reps. I agree though, if they're going to sell the V60, its such a shame they dont keep the dual screens in stock. I got a free dual screen with mine from LG and still had to wait over 6 weeks. I dont regret it.
The bezels and thickness are the only main problem. 1080p and 60 hz screen is also a nitpick issue for me. If you're going to go with the dual screen design, the main phone just needs to be a bit smaller take less space imo. I also think it should be squared off like a Note.
Why do you need a high refresh rate? I had a phone with a high refresh rate and never noticed a difference. The bezels aren't really that much. I would prefer this over a panel where my fingers would touch the screen such as the Samsung phones

I've struggled with phone after phone until I got a LG dual screen. I enjoy them and the function is so awesome. I got mine outright with no attachment to any cell company. Best decision I ever made! It's been years and my phone still functions new. I got the G8
I think its really nice I just wish that when it's in full screen for TH-cam there wouldn't be such a big gap, if it wasn't for the gap I would get one an I've always been a Samsung guy
That is an awesome phone, can't wait to get my hands on ones. As always your videos are very educational and helpful. For those reading this, in my opinion before buying a new phone find out what he has to say about it first on his TH-cam video reviews.
Just got mine today thanks for the information. I still don't know how you can remove the phone safely and put it back in the dual case without damaging the communication system
Remove the phone safely? What is this you speak of? "Removing the phone from the dual screen?" 🤣 I love this thing. Its been off maybe a few hours since I got it. Alas, my husband has a very rough job (ranch fencing) and he does remove his screen every morning before work and puts it back on when he gets home... 🤷 Hes pretty rough on things and everything still works great. My only complaint is we both are finding metal shavings stuck to the magnetic charging port. There's nothing internal here so I dont see it getting damaged just that grinding noise *shudder* kind of gets upder the skin ya know. I try and clean it often.

he previewed the lg g8x, mon ths ago, and never did the full review. I hope he reviews this before the LG G9 comes out, it seems only the iphone and samsung series phones get the attention and views $$$, because of their great auto modes and well known name.
LG I think has a reputation for poorly advertising their phones lol. I only saw this phone because I was on my carrier's website looking for something else 😂🤦🏽♀️. I have Apple now because I grew tired of Samsung and I sold my Oneplus 7 Pro. The last LG I owned was the G4 lol. But I liked it, LG makes good phones. I wish they received more recognition.
The center piece of the case? The dual screen folds COMPLETELY back, flat with the phone. This is a very heavy dury case. I love it. I dont want a phone I feel like im going to break from opening and closing. In order for it to fold this nicely however, it has essentially 2 hinges. And that takes space.
. I currently have a v20 and the phone is awesome you can do dual screens on the single screen itself. I had This phone for 3 or 4 years and I had Verizon replace it with another v20. I didn't want the upgrade... this phone has removable battery and IR blaster. Loaded with features. I'm keeping it until it doesn't work anymore.
You said that when you bend back the dual screen it automatically shuts off that display. Can we have the option to force the dual screen display to remain on even when we have it bent back? I've always wanted a phone where I can make the back be a live screen, in a sense, like having a phone case that is an OLED so that I can customize the case design whenever I want
Thank you so much for sharing. I have an LG v20 that still been working wonderfully. But I'm going to upgrade and I really been looking at this V60. I was disappointed just in general because I wasn't sure it had the fingerprint option. Thank you so much I will now purchase the phone
aloha, I have had my white LG v60 and I absolutely love it! I have the dual screen but dont use it lol, the screen is big and I love it! the battery btw is so good! and it takes awesome videos if you look at the youtube channel my videos are shot with my v60!
I just bought this will be shipped to me on the 29th. I chose this over the Galaxy note 10 even though I have a Galaxy note 8 at the moment. I'm excited!! I love the fact that when e.b I'm traveling I can have it due screen. And when I'm at work, I can have it single. I'm clumsy at work since it gets busey so I'll sit forgetting ts in my pocket. I was gonna get galaxy flip, but it's to delicate. I love this!
I recently purchased this phone and noticed that I cannot change the Background color for Incoming and Outgoing Messaging. Do you know if there is a way around this? I would love for my incoming messages to have a white background and for my outgoing messages to have a black background.
I just bought the LG G8 X and it took the Sprint "free second screen promotion" almost 5 weeks to get the second screen to me which I just received a few days ago. This phone looks great! I can see some differences already, but if you are able to do a comparison between the two phones, that would be amazing!
Hey Tim, always something different from LG. Having a choice of a single or duel screen is very cool? Plus 4mics for video recording and the 32bit DAC, nice, the jack. A monster 🔋 with a 1080p display SOT should be off the map? I think LG has a real winner here but as always very underrated!
David Martrano yea my LG g6 had 1440p resolution but I dumped it for the 11 pro max but I regret buying the iPhone there are so many reasons why LG is way better

so, im in the market for a new phone and im really liking everything, of course lol, said about this review! what i want to know is how would you protect the glass cover of the duplicate display?
Hey Tim great video! I'm getting this phone in about 2 days, but I don't have the dual screen case and I can't find it. Can you post a link to a good place to buy it? Thanks
The review was good but should have shown how Android split screen works with the case. Can you do three things at once? (One screen split and the other screen full?) Can you split both screens? What happens to the keyboard? Like if you have TH-cam open on one screen, does the keyboard still use that same screen or does it pop up on the second display? Also how does app swapping work when displaying on the second screen?
G8x supports dual window on primary display. V60 supports dual window on both display (4windows) In wide view, keyboard is separated left and right on portrait
They must be excatly the same display from same assembly line or they will not have same color temperature, saturation.Oled display tend to do that, they are never with same color.
The V60 is fantastic, I've loved it since I got it. Too bad more people didn't give LG a chance BC of some bootloop issues 5 years ago. Every manufacturer has had issues (apple and Samsung) and now with LG out of the game, those two are going to slow innovation right down and drive prices up even higher. It's a shame
I loved the power button on the back. After having the second screen, I realize they had to move it because the screen completely folds and covers the back, it would be cumbersome to always unfold to turn the screen on.
I wish the gap in between both screens could have been less big. I am nervous to buy the Samsung fold, because it will likely break and I also hear it scratches easily. When the Costco guy showed me his lg v60 I was super excited. But after watching this video, not sure I like the gap in between screens. Wish they would have put the edges closer to each other, no gap. Even with the line in the middle, would have been okay. But such a big gap. Bummed.

TH-cam needs to update their app for this phone making it possible to view videos in wide screen and the second screen be able to type comments and scroll around and what not
I just ordered this from AT$T. 0/mo for 30 mo plus a 150 GC and free dual screen from LG? Seems too good to be true. Upgrading from S7edge
Congrats your going to be happy i am thinking of leaving Samsung
If only LG hadn't left the smartphone market, they could've make the dual screen better.
It supports Bamboo Ink too so if you get a Wacom bamboo ink pen you can use it.
Its my next phone.. Been rockin lg G5 for a while now ..its keep on going.. Just change the battery .. Thanks for this
lol, same here. the battery life sucks but i have a spare battery i charge up. love switching them like mags on a rifle😂😂😂. This V60 is my new target
I would buy one with the case for the multitasking alone :o.
LG is so amazing with smartphones now and days 💯
That is an awesome phone, can't wait to get my hands on ones. As always your videos are very educational and helpful. For those reading this, in my opinion before buying a new phone find out what he has to say about it first on his TH-cam video reviews.
LG please keep that headphone jack in the future!!!
(I doubt they will thou) lol
I wonder if it has some type of gaming feature where the controls go on the bottom screen without obstructing the main display
Yes it called gamepad. U can customize ur gamepad like nintendo switch, awsome feature
@@heliosaiden yet it's still useless touch screen that you can't feel.
It has actualy
It works for Asphalt 9 beautifully!
@@MountainBabyRoses thanks to another video i watched in case you don't bring that magnetic charger. you'll have to remove the phone to charge it. and i also enjoy having this phone my husband bought me my phone it's great but it does have some glitches as well
What are the troubles you have found?
Can you use one screen as a large keyboard? that would be cool
I like this phone
I just bought W10 and I'm so excited 😃
While i didn't even know this phone existed, Tim already has a whole video up!
he previewed the lg g8x, mon ths ago, and never did the full review.
Why are the bezels of the case do big? I love this phone. Could you make a comparison video of it vs the G8X? That would be interesting. Thx
Its 2024 I'm still here on my LG V60
I'am using the LG G8X for 2 months now, its the other dueal screen phone from LG, i love it
I love that phone.
I also see opportunity for "sharing" your phone. Or playing games like who's it or battleships
I wonder if the LG 25 Watt super-fast charger will work with the Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ and Galaxy S20 line.
I'll have to try it out!
Both uses qc4 standard with pd
LG is the most innovative company when it comes to mobile phone technology yet the most underrated
Hi thanks for the detailed run through. I prefer to see how it will work like am e-reader using both screens. That's my ideal use case.
There are apps for that
@@harysviewty it was not about app, it was about using it as a tablet.
I recently purchased this phone and noticed that I cannot change the Background color for Incoming and Outgoing Messaging. Do you know if there is a way around this? I would love for my incoming messages to have a white background and for my outgoing messages to have a black background.
Can you use it like a mini laptop - landscape, on surface, keyboard on lower screen, app on other screen?
LG does something similar to that when you're playing games
@@richardiokhvidov8082 may you elaborate more why you don't like iPhone 11 Pro Max?
I see alot of people complain about the hinge atea with no screen there..id prefer that...the more you open and close a folding screen..i see that going out soon..this on the other hand yes its a down side but last longer.
Had the V30+ and loved it. Gonna get the V60 once my G8X lease is up.
Great review!! Very nice to have 5000mA battery for using dual screen. I wonder how long the phone can last with the case.
I had an LG stylo 4. They were some a the best phones I've ever had. I switched back ta Samsung & I regret it. I'm thinking about getting an LG thinq. Soon. Hopefully.
The phone itself is very good, but I have a small problem with the Dual Screen Case! My issue with it is how do protect the outside screen against scratches and dirt!
QUESTIONS: HELP
1. Does this have a face id scanner or no?
2. How much is it the phone with the dual screen and everything? Price?
3. Does it have Ultra Zoom or zoom to a long extent for the camera?
4. Does it have Slo-Mo Video?
its fantastic i love the concept wow what an idea i think that LG is the only company works on dual display
Great phone and great video..thanks
The issue that LG doesn’t provide software updates regularly
Yep, I hope they realize they need to improve on this
Lately they are working/pushing updates faster
Good review! It is sad that, this phone will not be available in the Philippines.
so, im in the market for a new phone and im really liking everything, of course lol, said about this review! what i want to know is how would you protect the glass cover of the duplicate display?
Buy lifetime warranty covers for all 3 screens 😅 all 3 are THE SAME glass.
Does the dual screen come with the phone? or is it an additional purchase? ty in advance :)
Hey Tim great video! I'm getting this phone in about 2 days, but I don't have the dual screen case and I can't find it. Can you post a link to a good place to buy it? Thanks
You should do a call on it bro and show us how that'll work with dual screen screen
I am also wondering how you answer a call on that thing? Can you answer a call without unfloding the second screen? Same thing to make a call...
I want it I'm tired of my lg v40 small battery capacity and il even with fast charge it charge slow to me
Talk about battery, so far only lg v50 battery are insane and could last longer. But if you have decent amount of budget then go for it.
Is this still a good phone setup?
The review was good but should have shown how Android split screen works with the case. Can you do three things at once? (One screen split and the other screen full?) Can you split both screens? What happens to the keyboard? Like if you have TH-cam open on one screen, does the keyboard still use that same screen or does it pop up on the second display? Also how does app swapping work when displaying on the second screen?
G8x supports dual window on primary display.
V60 supports dual window on both display (4windows)
In wide view, keyboard is separated left and right on portrait
I see lots of vids saying that LG camera it's epic so i would really like to know if this phone is a better purchase than an iphone 11 or s20?
Look at the price. It's definitely better option than S20.
Can you play 2 games at the same time, one on each screen?
Yes
Why the heack the other screen has a notch!
They must be excatly the same display from same assembly line or they will not have same color temperature, saturation.Oled display tend to do that, they are never with same color.
If you've had a V10 or a V20 it's called a new second screen because it replaces the functionality of the secondary screen of the old LG devices
Great battery life?
The V60 is fantastic, I've loved it since I got it. Too bad more people didn't give LG a chance BC of some bootloop issues 5 years ago. Every manufacturer has had issues (apple and Samsung) and now with LG out of the game, those two are going to slow innovation right down and drive prices up even higher. It's a shame
I loved my to
Well I love my iphone more! 😜
Does the dual screen come with the phone? Or is it a separate buy?
They should of kept the power button on back 😭 oh well might get it still
I loved the power button on the back.
Bummed.
1:35 made in Vietnam :))
Most of the chargers of LG came from VN :))
How long till u think it goes down in price. Or will it stay a decent price for a while. The v line doesn't seem to degrade as much as the g line.
2020 blackfriday hahaha if you are in US 🇺🇸
ideally, they would add gestures to more effectively use the dual screen. thinking of 3 finger swipe to move an app to the other screen or something
LG already added that to this phone
Dual screen looks nice but not needed , 2023 September I got pixel 7à on contact week later I purchased a 256 GB
LG v60 lmv600tm , just arrived October 1st
Loving it it's going to be my DAP
Do you know if its wacom or active pen stylus supportive
if so is the screen strong enough to take a active stylus without scratching it
Excellent video, quick but very explainable, thank you.
Can I assume it has wireless charging? Phone scoop neglected to say anything about it as well.
These gestures initiated with Blackberry's flagship all touch models. Unfortunately BB10 is no longer a viable OS orI would still be on my BB Z10 SE
I am considering this device but i cannot find a store to check it out. It was introduced on February and still in almost September it cannot be found anywhere...
The phone looks perfect, the only thing is, they need to make the youtube scene fit the top screen instead of extending down when turned to the side
In which video mode the stabilisation works best? 4K 60fps or 1080p 120fps?
