バトルシーンでフシギダネが戦ったポケモンは、当時まだ公表されてなかったドンファン。それが数年後に金銀が出てそれに収録されたポケモンとして出てきて、更に数年後にはサトシがタマゴから孵して、更にまた数年後にはドンファンに進化して、最初は対戦相手として出会い、今は自分の仲間にもいる。本当にいつかなったのですね。
未参戦のドンファンが登録するよな今年の映画でw

For the last few recent years, from a much older perspective, theres something a little fascinating to me about youth-oriented media throughout different countries and decades, seeing what's similar, what's different, and whats changed.
Especially Japan's "younger" anime in the 90s, seeing how colorful, simple, and angular it looked by design. And while feeling "modern", "neo", and "sleek" (to me anyways) still used hand painted cels and backgrounds.
As kids ourselves, we were blindly and completely immersed in the media. As an adult, it's interesting to see "how" they made it work for younger people, through strange designs, bright colors, and strange sequences.
All this with the intent of being made for THEIR elementary school-aged kids (in the 90s).
Well do you see why Hand Drawn Cell Animation is just as cool as how many in the present love Digital stylized 2D animation??? This is why, it's just as good as seeing manually photographed stop-motion/claymation.

@@issaymario4159 初めての映画だし相当お金とやりたいことをやりまくった最高の作品です。ポケモンを通しての命の価値やあり方という問題にも触れ、オペラ座の怪人を知る人からすればほぼオマージュで、演じる役者も市村正親にエンディングは小林幸子という。本当に豪華な作品。
そう言う意味でこの作品を超える作品は多分ない。

@@GenmuLVLX But the 1998 and 2001 versions raise the song up a tone and semitone respectively in addition to changing some instruments. 2002 and 2017 just copy paste the sound of the original with new instruments. But at the 2017 version did try.

i like how people fuss over which version of the Pokémon opening is best. the English dub or the original Japanese, when in reality they are both great and took a lot of talent on both ends.
metallicarabbit true. My only issue with the US one is the fact that it seems overplayed which is my issue with a lot of good songs. I love the fact that a lot of people love the song but I think there's supposed to be a limit 'til it becomes annoying
That makes little sense... Mezase Pokémon Master has been used many, many, many more times than the English intro.
@@dero_oan Gotta Catch them All is played in only Season 1, XY, Mewtwo Strikes Back, Mewtwo Strikes Back Evolution, and I Choose You, with it being a sub tune during Johto League Champions. While this is played during, Season 1, OP 4, the aforementioned movies, with sub tones in OP 8.

dubs aren't always bad, 4Kids is just shit but every other dubber is great. hack dubs can ruin many shows.

初日でミュウツーの逆襲Evolution見てきました。当時をそのまま流したのかこの曲が聞けてテンションが上がりました。当時聞いた時はテレビ違って違和感がありましたけど、大人になってこっちの曲の方が最強のミュウツー相手にピッタリだと感じました。いつ聞いてもカッコイイですね！この曲を聴くとボケモンの夏が来たなと思います。

I recently watched the movie in Japanese and I'm quite baffled at the Raymond character, he speaks with a mix of English and Japanese, then again the voice actor was a foreigner.
Also isn't it weird that Pikachu KO'd a Golem with a thunderbolt despite the Golem was a Rock/Ground type? When Electric moves doesn't affect Ground types.
You mean the "OHH MY GOOOODDD" guy? I just figured he was a foreigner himself. Either way, it's common for anime to throw in those "gratuitous English" characters from time to time for whatever reason.
@@shoutuckerdidnothingwrong Raymond Johnson was part of Suzukizan, a music group that did songs for the Pokemon anime along with Imakuni and Sachiko Kobayashi (voice of Voyager/Miranda). He was also the co-host of the children's variety show Oha-Suta at the time with seiyuu Koichi Yamadera (voice of Mew in the movie).
It was less of a "haha random English! XD" and more of a voice cameo a lot of Japanese kids would recognize.
