The only thing I hope they don’t change from SOM is the percy and annabeth dynamic because the movies completely strapped that lol and I need to see siren scene on my screen
in the movies, they weren't really a thing, because in the first one they combined annabeth and clarisse into one character and added this sexuel tension between them. In the second one, they just stripped annabeth from all characterisation, she was a sidekick and to worsen it more, percy had way more chemistry with clarisse; like hell no. so im pretty sure percabeth is gonna be very present in the tv show and executed in a better way. im too really excited for the sirens scene
Oh they definitely wouldn't butcher it. With the way they handled Percabeth in season 1 and ep 5 in particular is just a tell tale sign that they cared for the ship and it's progression. I know the writers are very careful about portraying this couple too, they want to make it very compelling based on what I gathered from their thoughts from interviews from the pjo podcasts. I get the concern though. I also hope this means a more nuanced portrayal of Silena and Beckendorf.

At first when I first heard of them adding a new character I was like "oh no, this means lesser screen time for the known characters." But when I heard that it's for Luke's army I was like "this could actually work." But I hope in some point they also add Alabadter Torrington from Son if Magic.

@@PercyJacksonkid if they add him in the show, it would add more POV on Luke's army and further more prospective on the children of the minor gods. Plus his powers/use of magic would be cool to see on screen.

In terms of Alison’s godly parent, I also wonder if maybe her godly parent could be Dionysus. Even though there were only about three children of Dionysus at Camp Half-Blood in the books, I have always wondered what it’s like for them to have their father running Camp Half-Blood, but constantly seeing everyday that he doesn’t want to be there and would give anything to go back to Olympus. That has to really hurt for them, and if Alison is a daughter of Dionysus, it would be really interesting to see how her seeing him act like this, and feeling like he doesn’t care about her, contributed to her eventually joining Luke’s army.
Wow. If that's the case, Mr. D is gonna be even more complex and have an even interesting character arc.
I'm so excited to see the new character, I think it's a great idea to add someone who can give us more perspective on Luke and his army, especially someone who's adult and was also on Camp Half-blood. LET THEM COOK!

I kinda hope Alison's a daughter of Hecate. She'd be a cool foil to Circe. Plus Hecate did lose a lotta kids in the war, so getting to know one would be interesting

As long as they add Silena and Ethan, who are also in Luke’s army, then I’m happy for them to add as many original characters as they want x also long as it stays true to the story 😊

I think it would be cool to have each titan's army character represent a type of demigod that is against the gods? Luke representing a demigod that has a personal reason to hate his godly parent, Chris representing the unclaimed demigods, Ethan representing the kids of minor gods and Alison maybe being the daughter of an Olympian that maybe doesn't give attention to their children enough or at least she felt that way? (Maybe a god with a lot of kids like Apollo for example, but i also love what someone said below abt her being a daughter of Dionysus, especially if they include Castor and Pollux in the show, i think it would add a lot of complexity to Mr.D as a character)
I am looking forward to the siren scene because that shows that Annabeth isn't this super all-knowing and strong girl and has some vulnerability. She has weaknesses and wants like everyone else, and I'm excited to see how they portray that. Im I'm also curious to see how Annebeth and Percy's (also walker and leah) relationship delevops on screen. Im so excited!
i wouldn´t count on that, unfortunately. This is disney we are talking about. They wouldn´t let a "dark skin" female character have any kind of misperfection/weakness. And no, this is not racist: it is a conclusion based on how disney has acted on all its movies for years
@@liaartist3671 That may be true but I remember in season one how annebeth was talking about her weakness to percy so I feel that she would show some signs of vulnerability. Also the cast was talking about it.

i mean, if we consider the possibility that it isn´t only Allison we get as new character... there is AN OBVIOUS OPTION character we would get as the "new oc", which is TECHNICALLY an oc because it wasn´t written by Rick Riordan but is very interesting: Alabaster Torrington. He has all the requirements you mentioned
TH-cam title scared me, but this is actually such a great idea since we’re not locked into Percy’s perspective
I had an idea about Alison’s backstory. She could have never been claimed. Making her bitter to the gods and was already against the gods.
Also, as much as we're interested about this new character. Like most people, I hope that she isn't a romantic interest for Luke. I kinda want her to be much older, sort of a role model, a primer for how much Luke would have to change. Given that we know she's been living outside of camp surving. And also because we started and ended season 1 with Percy being betrayed by Luke in a sense that he tries to convince Luke not to rebel. And I had been thinking about how would they make Luke be "the villain" that he was in book 2 and continue to make wrong decisions by the future seasons. And with that, I think the tensions between Percy and Luke, and Annabeth and Luke in the next season will be heartbreaking. Both Percy and Annabeth would go through lengths to get him back but he's already made up his mind. This, with Alison and backed up with Luke's Thalia flashbacks would be a reason why he'd have the guts to poison her tree.
Im very much a fan of the devastating ship that is Thalia and Luke and I cant wait for them to add layers into that with the new character. To break my heart more because she's gonna wedge herself between Luke and Thalia (not romantically) and completely get Luke to really turn his back to Thalia. And for the writers to not force the romance in. Unlike what Rick did with Silena and Juniper for Luke aaand more notably everything in HoO.

I didn't even remotely expect this, so I'm not sure how I feel just yet. I'm sure I'll be okay with it as long as the new character doesn't change a big plot point.
Considering we don’t get to see too much of Luke and his army unless Percy is involved, I doubt this new character will change any plot at all!! It seems like she’ll just be an addition!
@@cameronsilas Yeah I doubt they'll change the plot with this new character, but you never know for sure until it actually comes out haha
im so mad bc the filming for this season doesn’t start until August 1st, and the filming ends on JANUARY 30 2025

I am going to frickin love this season since SoM is my fav PJO book, and I’m rlly excited to see what they do with Circes island, cuz that was my fav chapter. Being a kid (I’m not saying my age) who doesn’t rlly like some things about her appearance, seeing Annabeth be hurt when Circe said her hair needed to fixed made me cry (it hurt a lot more since in the book originally she has blonde curly hair, but I imagine her as she is in the show with braids and black hair) and seeing Percy dislike his clothes, acne, crooked teeth and how his hair wouldn’t stay in its place made me cry even more. I absolutely hated what they did with Circes island in the movie where they made it into Circe Land, like not only is that not subtle, but it also doesn’t even have Circe on it like wth. But anyway, chapter 12 was rlly relatable for me and I’m so excited to see what they do with it in the show. I’m also excited to see who they cast for Circe and Silena
I hate how miserable and how much doomposting I have been seeing in my twitter timeline regarding this news because they ran with it. Thinking that they have only started the casting now, when from the updates we've been getting for the past 3 months its more probably that they have already casted people for these characters for months now and only disclosed this much info that we have not known. Can we just get a grip people lmao
Also, with the new character. Its weird that there are people already salty about it.

Oh I've heard about this, I wasn't actually bothered by this change though because for the story to actually work all of the plot lines would have to be the same as in the book, to keep things consistent. Oh, and it'll be funny if we constantly switch from Luke and Alison being serious as hell, all antagonistic like to Percy and Annabeth just trying to get to Grover. Oh I hope to goodness they really push into the comedic aspect for this season.

I agree, Allisons’s godly parent being Aphrodite would be so cool and interesting, especially with the whole Silena thing. It could add a whole new layer to that plot point.
I hope they won't cut that circeland scene. I just need to see Percy turning into a hamster while annabeth is all dressed up beautifully.
I just hope season 2 is better than season 1 because it could've been so much better than it was. It needed so many improvements like the pacing, the characters, and the action scenes could be better.
When I heard about the new original character the creators are going to add, I got super interesting. I really like that they are expanding on the story of the second book of Percy Jackson. I liked the book sea of monsters. My theory on the new character Allison, I do think she could be a daughter of a minor god/goddess or one of the Olympians. I do think because she is an adult and she's out of camp half blood, she has the point of view of both the mundane world and the demigod world. In the mundane world, I'm certain she has seen some mundane parents ignoring their child, not nice to their child and I think that is what going to in fuel more hatred towards the gods and goddesses. Since the gods and goddesses ignore their kids, and let's say she is a child of a minor god, and the Olympians gods/goddesses don't acknowledge them. I think Allison would have the same point of view with Luke about bringing back the "golden age." Not just for demigods and for them to be happy and in peace, but in way for mundane as well. Since the mundane believe Greek Mythology is all fake and made up stories in the Percy Jackson universe, (except for the one who can see through the mist) even if they don't understand what they are seeing, Allison will want the happy and peace for everyone. When I read that scene of Luke asking Annabeth if he loved her, my first thought in a few seconds was the same, Luke has a crush on Annabeth? But, then I thought and this is just my opinion, sometimes I mix both of my opinions. Maybe Luke always realized that Annabeth had a crush on him, so maybe he didn't want to ask her because he didn't want her to make her feel embarrassed. Since Luke was dying he decided to ask her if she loved him, he hoped she would say as a friend and brother because he knows and knew Percy has been a good person all this time, and he (Luke) has broken the promise and trust he had with Annabeth when she was younger as an older brother. Or it could be he did develop feelings towards her. (sometimes I think it's both opinions.)

I absolutely loved season one but I just hope for season two they don’t make it so annabeth and Percy know the story of every single monster they come across because it would ruin some of the best scenes like
Circes island or even the siren scene and I also hope that Allison and Luke do have some sort of relationship and it would be cool to see a child of a more reserved god like Aphrodite or Athena go rogue
Also luke only really become a good villian in the lasy book he kinda just becomes a moustache twirling villain for the most part

I'm excited for what Allison could bring to the show and personally hope she's the daughter of a minor god. While Aphrodite kids do get under-represented, I don't think they need the only two Aphrodite kids to be girls who serve Luke.

I really hope aren’t replacing Ethan with Allison, trying to move up his storyline because they don’t know if they’ll get later seasons. Fingers crossed that’s not it and she’s just an addition like you said.
I can’t wait to meet the new cast members but mostly the new character Allison 😍😍 can’t wait to find out her story but I think it would nice if Allison is Luke new “love interest “ or whatever you want to call that thing that annabeth and Luke had in the book because I swear to god when they get to the last Olympian and I see that one scene where Luke ask annabeth if “she love him” I would absolutely throw my iPad to the ground😒

I love Mckenna Grace but I feel like this is the perfect time to do an open casting call again like they did for the trio so we can get someone unknown. There are lots of young actresses between the ages of 18-22 who don't have agents yet and are trying to break into the acting industry. A role like Alison in the PJO show could be the start of someones career! I get why the role is closed casting because open casting is such a hassle but it feels like such a missed opportunity.

Sea of Monsters is my least favorite, but only because I just like the others better. Sea of Monsters was really cute to me because like, Tyson, but the others just had a bit more to the plot or something like that
I wonder if Allison will actually be a replacement for the character of Chris Rodriguez- probably with a bit more development, and possibly with a same-sex relationship appearing a couple seasons down the line? Pure speculation based only on being part of Luke’s army and a possibly reoccurring character.
I hope they really lean into tyson and percys feelings as brothers, like how tyson grows on him and percy finally acknowledged him

If I could choose a godly parent for Alison, I think I'd choose Nike. I can't recall any children of Nike in the series and it would be fun.
