As much I want to believe George Lucas is coming back, it's a just rumor and whatever's been said, we don't know the full details or if any are present. George is retired, however any one could come out of retirement. We currently don't have offical confirmation if the rumor is true.

"I'm here to remind you" of the fact that Star Wars was "woke" since the beginning. The Empire is an obvious example of a fascist dictatorship, and the Rebellion was a diverse force of freedom fighters! against an army of literal Storm Troopers, Battle Droids, and cloned soldiers. I didn't like the 3rd Trilogy either, but the problem wasn't that it was "woke"! but just badly written 6:00 not really following the previous character personalities.

What about fighting fascism or being diverse is "woke". The British Empire was very diverse, and it fought for freedom against fascist dictatorships. Was it woke?

Therefore, fighting F*scism is " Woke" by y'all's own definition.
@@georgebailey8179 Woke is a word that is generally applied to liberals. Fascism is an extreme form of conservatism, by definition. In opposing the (racist, totalitarian) Axis powers attempting to conquer the world, the Allies were closer to what we might call "woke" today, do you see what I'm saying?
(The "British Empire" is an unusual example to bring up, because at earlier times, they oppressively ruled over their colonies. Things change over the decades and centuries!)

Fascism wasn't conservative. It was very much a break from the past, which is the opposite of conservatism.
And opposing racism isn't a woke thing. Plenty of people complain about racism by the woke. So no, apart from claiming stolen valour, I don't see why you'd make that analogy.
Disney’s batting average is about as good as George’s if we’re being honest with ourselves. Lucas made the OT sure, but he also made Attack of the Clones and the Holiday special. This new batch of Star Wars has shows like Andor and the first two seasons of the Mandalorian to hang its hat on. Jedi: Survivor and Fallen Order are good Star Wars stories in their own right. Everything is not doom and gloom and George is not a savior

I love how everyone wants to blame Disney for Star Wars, but let us not forget that it was George, not Disney, that gave us the awful Prequels.

I love how campy they are. Prequels are good in my opinion, just not as good as the original ones but dam do i love em.
Get over it. The prequels weren’t bad. They were not as good as the originals, but they were better than that absolute dump of a trilogy that Disney gave us.
Even with Natalie Portman's wooden acting Padme was still a well-received character. Even with the terrible dialogue and lack of on-screen chemistry, Anakin and Padme's romance was...passable.
Kathleen Kennedy, despite being a woman and making Star Wars all about women in marketing made Rey Skywalker one of the most universally disliked female characters around that time, encapsulated the Mary Sue trope so much that the term became mainstream and every single romance in those movies was was contrived.
Disney in fact gave us the amazing sequels

So true. Woke is a meaningless word that conservatives slap on anything that’s inclusive or diverse. Although Disney CLAIMS to be DEI, they’re only doing that for money. Plain and simple.
Forcing DEI probably would ruin a saga that’s based on other problems that exist in its own galaxy. However, if they do it in a way that reflected our problems without including them (like what Andor did), I’d say it’s fair game.

Sadly, conisdering the actions of our previous preseident, they would take the country down with them, just out of misplaced agression.
