Brief background on this performance. After BLACKPINK's first performance on an American TV show, some in the comments questioned whether they really knew how to sing live, but they only danced by lip-syncing. Well, I then responded by suggesting that they watch this live performance of Sure Thing! Maybe in the USA they weren't used to seeing a girl group that really knew how to sing even if they had to dance at the same time. Well, BLACKPINK CAN!

This one is early on, and my understanding is that Jisoo wasn’t yet as good at English as she got later, so she learned her lines phonetically. Doing that is difficult for lots of reasons including the amount of memorization needed! Great cover and great reaction to this one 👍 🖤🩷🖤🩷
