In my original demo of the OG Glove, I left out a feature, the internal voltage switch. I had a chance to try it out, and thought it would be worth a second vid to demo the difference in settings. There are 9 and 18 volt settings. 9 volt is more compressed, 18 volt has more headroom. They do feel different.
I don't specifically mention it in the vid, but the 9 volt position is to the right, 18 volt to the left.

Just bought this pedal 2 days ago,,, i have watched a few video demos,and was not aware of the internal switch,so thanks for the info, and the great demo.I think this is a great pedal,,, sounds awesome through my Blackstar HT 5. I bought the Marshall Guvnor 2 pedal about 2 weeks ago,trying to get that vintage Marshall Plexi tone,i think this EHX Glove pedal nails the tone i was after,great pedal.

This pedal is essential.Cool playing ! I liked both 9V and 18V.
Sounds much more alive and gritty eith the 18 on.
Ι've read in another review (unfortunately not accompanied by a video, just like the one you did) that the 9v-18v difference is more apparent at lower gain settings. Thanks for the vid mate.
With this additional headroom, do you find this pedal is better able to be used as a low-ish gain pedal or maybe even an almost clean boost? Does the pedal clean up better when you roll back the guitar volume in 9 volt mode, or 18 volt mode? Thanks.

surley it would be more apparent using a power supply... can you double 9volt batteries? surely that would last about 2 minutes if draining double what it is ... i dont know tho im not an expert ..
I'm from Brazil, please, I need to know ... when we do not use the battery and connected od glove to a source of 9 volts, can be used simultaneously in the internal key position in v. 18?? will burn?
Hey there! If you look in the instructions, you will see that the OD Glove generates 18 volts through its internal circuit, so you can use the 18 volt setting with either a battery or an external power supply. Just make sure that your power supply does not exceed 9 volts. Check out the instructions for more information - www.ehx.com/assets/instructions/od-glove.pdf
Info from the manual:
INTERNAL VOLTAGE SWITCH - The OD GLOVE includes an
internal slide switch to change its internal power supply voltage from
9V to 18V. Operation at 18V results in a less compressed, more open
tone that may work better for some guitar/amplifier combinations.
Operation at 9V results in a tighter sound, and reduces the current
draw to 5mA. Experiment with the voltage setting at full volume to
find the best sound for your playing style. Please remember: do not
exceed 10VDC at the 9V Power Jack. The OD Glove generates the
18V internally.
To select the operating voltage, remove the four screws on the
bottom of the OD GLOVE and take off the bottom plate. There is a
slide switch near the input jack labeled “Voltage Select.” Slide this
switch to the right for normal 9V operation. Slide it to the left for 18V
operation. You do not need to change the battery or adapter when
changing the internal voltage.

I'm not one to hate or troll but this was not a good representatation of this pedal IMO. The reasons are the following, out of tune guitar, muddy tone, and since this a demo for a brand new EHX pedal people might expect you to know how to actually play the guitar. Hope this was helpful

@PeterVeillon Did you read the title? It's about the internal voltage switch. I'm glad he made this video. None of the youtinfluencerguitargods make these kind of video's. The video is clear enough to point out the change in tone.
