My hot take: Harbinger Celestia was printed as a counter to the All Spell Hunter of the time. If they never play any minions it's a 4 mana 5/6 with stealth. Of course, the card still sucks against every other deck
I think that if Blizzard would have wanted to give players a way to counter some archetype it wouldnt be a legendary card, just remember platebreaker
P.S: spellhunter still has a Rexxar as minion generator
Yeah, harbinger celestia beats -big- style control decks, a one off but it helps

good theory, but in boomsday they also printed zero cards to support the spell hunter archetype, even worse they printed cards that actually had synergies with minions like boomzooka, thus making celestia even worse
Celestia is a Logical counter to Big decks. Like Big Priest or Big Warrior or any deck that wants to play something big on tempo. The problem with the card is that well Logical Counters usually dont work because the only stuff you need to beat the card is not playing the deck "as intended" or just dont play an efficient turn and you beat the card.
Like yeah if Big decks were punsihed for being "force" to play a little minion first the card would be more useful but in reality even go big go mana efficient decks run little minions.

In the 5 prince paladin video roffle generated Talanji and I thought: "what a cool card that I had completely forgotten about!" Low and behold, it's Talanji priest.

I used to think like you and then after quite some games with Malfurion the Pestilent I've come to the conclusion that Spiders are shit. Like I've taken spiders so many times just to see them killed or stolen by the most random shit that there's no point in picking them unless you REALLY REALLY need them and the taunts would not help.
@@ben8929 Yeah, especially when priest has a 1 mana spell that deals with the poisonous spiders but only deals 1 damage to both of the taunts.
