I have always been such a fan of his pvc bearing invention.

You are amazing, I get so much joy out of your inventive videos. Really shows you how much you can get done if you really put your mind to it. It's great to see you teaching your passion to your kids as well. Thank you for sharing!

Really looking forward to seeing this in action.
    Thanks for your videos.

Don't forget the cover needs to be exchangeable top to bottom unless you changed your mind about selectable depth penetration of the wheel depending on load. You were going to flip the whole propulsion device over selectively.

Hey Jamie, I know you're always working on improving efficiency and squeezing the most from your electric boat motor and propellers. I saw this TH-cam video and thought of you. - "This Genius Propeller Will Change Transport Forever " I think the channel is called Ziroth.

if the kids like riveting you should make some extra long handles for super leverage

It's interesting you're doing a paddle wheel. Have you seen the toroidal propeller designs that have been getting some renown lately?

Why four paddles vs six or eight. I do agree with trying it first before making the paddles wider. From canoe and kayak paddling I can attest that often a narrower blade at a faster speed is better. I feel like in the paddle wheel engineering handbook there should exist some equations to describe all this. Let's see the power of two people is about 250 watts continuous and most people put out the best power at 60 to 100 rpm, but it looks like a lot of information is missing. On with the empirical estimations and experimentation!

I would have used hinges for the paddles so they swing back when not peddling. Zero drag. Gnomesayin?

cool. curious to see how fast/powerful it is. probably can calculate approximately how fast if can calculate the water displacement by the wheel. Human is about 100W continuous power, so from there can see how fast water would be displaced.
