Thanks Sam for the tour of that fantastic museum. I love the look of those beautiful wooden boats and like you said the craftsman ship that goes into such a work of art. I to love looking at the design and workman ship that went into building and designing those pieces of history. Thanks again, Patrick
By far my favorite region of NY State. I've vacationed in that area since a kid almost seventy years ago. Now retired and spend at least a month in the 1000 Islands North Country region. Camping boating and fishing. It's changed very little overall in those 70 years.
We love that area and will be spending more time there! Great to have you onboard with us! Ensure you sign up for our newsletter on www.WhatYachtToDo.com and stay in touch!
This video also brought back memories Sam! Dad's buddies who were all engineering types raced the pumpkin seeds out on the sound near Seattle... They would spend countless hours with procured Bomarc and Minuteman missile wax and lot's of elbow grease and rub their boats until a feather would just slide right off.... An amazing video and again added to my check list of stop's when I begin my journey... Thank you both for everything you teach and share with us all.
As a member of ACBSn and a wooden boat fanatic many thanks for the review of Clayton. Wooden boats are like kids, you have to keep tending to them. thanks, and enjoy the loop.
Beautiful craftsmanship in those buildings. Thank you for bringing us along. Looking forward to seeing it in person. Hope you are doing well & best wishes.
Thanks for the tour Sam! My 1st boat was a 1958 14’ PenYan w/ a 25hp Evenrude outboard. Wow it was a lot of work keeping up with that wooden boat, but as far a beauty, wooden boats are beautiful. Safe travels!
9:58 first childhood family boat, was a 16 foot THOMSON wooden with a like 30 HP evenrude.... IF I could go back I would have treated the wood a little better when it was ''varnish up under the dash'' part... just a passing thought ;) NICE TOUR :) thanks for the ride along
The Antique Boat Show in August is one of the best in the country.
Very cool! 😎
Nothing more Beautiful than a wooden boat, except maybe a woman! Thanks for the video!
You are welcome!

You can just imagine the manhours of work that went into building some of those grand old wood boats. It was really neat tagging along with you.
