I mean lets be honest the layout of the campus is easy to get to know, the order of cirriculum can be improved in most education, SIU treats you personally and will address any concerns!!

I went there back in 1969. Neely and Mae Smith were women only with mean matrons guarding the lobby to keep boys out. I lived in Allen, which is gone now. Back in '69, they couldn't build dorms and classrooms fast enough. The university and town were booming.

@@SalukiAlumni..Different, I’d say! My tuition and fees for my last semester was $299.75. Lived off campus on Hester street, 4 bedroom house, $35/month, I shared a large bedroom, $17.50/month!

The “matrons” in the towers were mean. 😮
I live in Neely and Mae smith too. Same years as you.
Still-we had our method & ways to dodge the liberty restrictions--friends at stairwell doors helped. 😂
First thing is gals learned-how to go Grey man /unremarkable with the matrons.

I lived in Wright Hall the first year I was at Southern- 1974- it was great, I remember the bridge over the creek on the walk to Trueblood dining hall. I am very grateful that the plan to tear down "The Three Towers" was re-thought; they are such a part of the character of the campus it would be a terrile loss.

I lived in Neeley. Back when I went here, Neeley was the drinking hall, for 21 and over. Good times.
