I honestly couldn't have been happier with this series. The first two episodes blew me away, however, when I quickly realized the direction the third episode was going in I became some what distracted. It almost pushed me away and forced me to consciously engage so that I can finish the series. Over all I think this was an amazing work and successful project. Would love to see more work from these gentlemen. Cheers.
Dear Netflix I hope you see this. Your show is overwhelmingly brilliant and I loved every second of it, the acting, dialogue, sets, story, characters. I must say that I particularly loved claes and his Dracula. He is such a genius haha. The things you made him say and do were outrageous and fantastic!. The character was so well built and thought out. His execution and timing with the movements and dialogue was revolutionary!! The chemistry between vlad and Agatha was so real and endlessly enjoyable.
Kinda glad I wasnt the only one kinda unsatisfied with the 3 rd episode, it was kind of anti-climactic. Different, but ultimately that thrid episode jsut left me kind of.....meh. First two episodes were damn good, though. Loved Van Helsing's character, too.
I'm wondering if they'll do other famous movie monsters for the other seasons, but yeah the only thing that made me not like episode 3 is that it ENDED haha. Like BAM! DONE! OVER! I definitely agree with you though and think there should have been more for the ending.
@@carriee.9712 I doubt it, the show is called "Dracula" and he's gone at the end of the third episode, which definitely caps off the series. Nothing's stopping them from doing a "Frankenstein" etc. mini-series in the same vein though. I do like that it was an unconventional, somewhat unexpected ending, which fits with the whole series giving its own unique twist on Dracula.
I love how all throughout the show, he took on the appearance of different vampire actors such as Colin Farrell, Bela Lugosi, Christopher Lee, the 30 Days of Night vampire leader, etc. Superb!
Unpopular opinion: liked the third chapter just as much as the others. I feel everyone is hating just because. Yes, it was a very bold twist, but I think that was the point, something very few productions dare to do. Many series just keep going with the same formula until it becomes boring, filling chapters with more of the same. We have to recognize the risk they took, perfect or not.
I'm loving this series. As a fan of the Stoker book, I don't understand why so many people are calling it "meh" or don't like the direction it's going. I thought it was very creative, and fascinating. NOTE: I don't follow the show Sherlock, so the style of the show creators was new to me.
I really loved the first episode, the second episode was still good then the third episode kind of lost me. I did enjoy this show though, very well done. I'd like to maybe see more monster mini series 🤔
I actually liked episode 3. It was a fresh take, his comments about 21th Century were funny, the Lucy story was heartbreaking, what is Not to like about this episode?
*JUST SCRAP THE 3RD EPISODE* and traverse into Dracula's past when he's a warlord and the prince of Wallachia!!! Go on writers and make season 2 right!!!
Loved the 1st episode...everything grand & masterly executed..2nd episode was little less on budget & less then first but still good..and ended at high with Agatha coming at the end..but 3rd episode was dropped like hot potato..same concept, same dialogue( you know where to find me) same makeup for a character like Sherlock . Moreover Mark Gatiss character started well when he was introduced then in next scene and it was like extension of Mycroft.. basically they couldn’t go let of their hangover of Sherlock
I personally can't deny the effort that was put into the production of this series from the make-up, set designs and the performance by Claes Bang as Dracula. If you personally think differently I would like to hear your own opinions.
Love this series! As much as i want more of it, I feel like if they ever made 2nd season it won't be as good- I don't think modern time setting is as excited
if they just uh remove the third episode and make a season two set in the same time period as before then it’ll be good but that last episode was total rubbish. also: mark gatiss cannot write something without showing up in it and this time that was just very unnecessary. as was the entire plotline with the girl that got cremated, it felt like filler cuz it just went nowhere. ending was totally unsatisfying and the idea that he fears death seems out of character, the whole time i thought it was that he was so sick of living that he put himself in dangerous situations to see how far he could go
If do plan on making a season 2, it should be a prequel season where we explore Dracula's past during the 1500s to 1700s double the episodes to six 1 hour & half episode d
I just watched this show in a row. I am.. don't know.. the range of my rating is from "spectacular" to "boring". It has great moments. But did I discovered two references to the Dracula movie with C. Lee (God bless him) from the 1950s: The first appearance of Dracula and the run of van Helsing on the table to pull down the curtains?! If that was wanted, well done!
I really REALLY enjoyed the first two, I thought the 3rd episode would have been really interesting but it took too much of a weird turn. Really hope there is a season 2.
Im beggin you please get the same team that did this whole show and get them to do this to all classic literature i suggest frankenstein next i beg you
Not a fan of episode 3. Feel like they should have left it out all together. They had the perfect setup for a full series set in the 18th century, but they ruined the potential by writing the BS in episode 3. When I watch or read anything about Dracula, I want it set in the 18th century, not the 21st. I’ll just act like Episode 3 doesn’t exist.
First two episodes are brilliantly done, the third one though... no idea what that should be... feels alien, not fitting with the previous two, no real plot or any sense to it :(
The production design is ok .... it doesn't touch Coppola's... not even close, you can tell its part CGI and the hallways are repetitive. Jonathan Hawker is way too old but Dracula is a great actor and has a great look. The lead female is a good actress but the character is truly annoying lol
@@harrythegamer07 i found out was netflix money bbc made is same deal as Netflix has with WB films made by them for Netflix goes cinema usa rest world Netflix coz WB make some more mony and under the rules of awards has to be shown in US.
It's as if they really wanted to take their time with the source material - spending a whole episode on that boat - and then suddenly lost all their budget to Brexit or something and had to end with a boring 21st century finale. What a waste of two great episodes!
It was a good series but it fell to the sequel curse most movie have happen. First episode was great. Second was good. And third was just there and left you disappointed.
Claes Bang was an absolutely superb Dracula.
The interaction between Dracula and Van Helsing was amazing.
MORE! MORE! MORE!
Claes Bang fits the role perfectly, Looking forward to season 2!
Sadly Season 2 isn’t happening as this was basically a one off and the last episode received poor reception.

Claes is amazing! This Dracula is unforgettable ! ♥

NickB the BBC made it!
But I agree with everything else that you said.

Best Dracula ever
The third episode kinda blew it but I loved the series in general! Claes did an excellent job also he's like ridiculously hot 🧛♂️
I can't believe this!! I can't wait. This is amazing! I LOVE DRÁCULA by Bram Stoker😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍wonderful
Shout out for making those iconic devilish fangs instead of going the usual. Those alone were amazing
Loved the entire thing. Very well acted and with a great merging of old and new ideas.
The series deserves a load of hype!
Love this series. Would like a season 2.
What are you talking about? Dracula died. This is a mini-series in cooperation with BBC.
@@mactastic144 you ASSUME he died. Mini series can have multiple seasons.

Love Claes and Dolly... We need a series about the backstory of his path to becoming a vampire and what happened to his family....get writing Boys.
Yesss omg, the time when he was the war lord Vlad Tepes Dracula!!!
This show would have been a lot better without that third episode.
I love the music
First episode was WOOOW, Second was ok, but Thrid was thrash.
the third episode was kinda meh but overall i liked the series, interested to see where the series could go.
kinda weird lookingg him on tinder
What do you mean where it could go? It's over

The first two episodes were friggin awesome, Claes Bang is perfect as Dracula.

Agree, I liked it too. I think people are hating without any basis. It was a bold twist, yes, but few productions dare to take such risks.
Last episode really fell away

Dracula for President 🧛♂️

I like the ending and episode two is my favorite. I think the third episode is a bit rush compared to the first two.
Am i the only one who actually Liked the third episode?
It’s not on Netlix in the UK???🧛🏻♂️🤷♀️
No, because BBC wants you to watch it on their player. It's on Netflix everywhere but the UK.
popovic Aw thank you, I was checking every day 🤦🏼♀️
It needs a second season but set before episode 1 for continuity
It started out so good, but ended terribly! Who let this happen? :(
I know it's on bbc, but is it on Netflix?? If so, I can't find it!
Who's your guys fav character myns sister Agatha

It was really a different approach from earlier ones but yes I too think that the Last episode fell short....
Dracula was so funny...
Only on Netflix. Then why can't I find it when it's on BBC iPlayer clear as day?
I hated the movie. Hated it! But this series was awesome!!! So glad I watched it!
What's with Jonathan Harker calling Jack?

The last airbender??
why are whatching the people play violins so funny 😂 they look so concentrated
