In his shows we march to the song!
Definitely. Maybe the next Danzig hah

i know right? just imagine how much better it would be if you could tune the guitar to the guy's voice
definitively he has musical training background
I'm not necessarily some amazing musician like Andre, but some of us are blessed with the ability to know, without any frame of reference, how to sing an A note or C note or what have you, and how to keep tempo. Now if I only had the dexterity and skill to use that, I'd be set...

I was in the USN boot camp 1970 not many women. But we got a cadence caller from Chicago and she decided to "get down" chanting and dance! The rest of us were doing it too!
Then a male drill instructor walked over and really got onto us. He wasn't even our instructor! We could no longer do cadence instead punishments AND we had to learn fancy drills like high school bands that walk in and out of lines etc. We were good!
But the worst punishment? Shoes!
The morning after our stunt we woke up to find a mountain in the hallway of our shoes with 10 minutes to find ours or go without! our name was written inside but there's 120 shoes!
One girl climbed the stack and tossed shoes, "Jones, Smith, .." we barely made it.
All because we liked to boogey! Glad it's changed in 50 yrs.
My CCs did much the same except they kicked it up a notch: all clothes, shoes, sheets, pillows... everything tossed. Some of the younger recruits were traumatized. I was 29, and started laughing. Got everyone to laugh talking about how those two cranky CCs must have looked like 5 years olds throwing a tantrum. The visuals were hilarious. I hope this military kid sees this video and realizes how fucking kick ass his voice is.
@@ricardogeeexperiments8540 thank u for that. I personally have no clue how to find his unit but a good friend of mine who is also Navy is gonna see if he can
I made the video and can find him
Trombley was the best cadence caller we had while I was there. We never had another good one after he graduated from the A-school unfortunately.
If he is a kid, I'm a baby
Reminded me of Some of the vocals from Killswitch Engage. Amazing voice!!!
As a US Army Veteran I thank you so much for this track. Brings back memories especially at the end for some reason 🇺🇸👍🪖
Well... If the Navy career fails... He can become a metal singer lol
Yeah!
This guys voice is straight up incredible
Seriously what the fu does he even know? (he probably does)
This gives me goosebumps-The authority & conviction in his voice going into the hook & then into the chorus, THAT means something to him, so props to the C.C. on this! Im gonna listen to this again-I just wished we could have drilled to stuff like this!
Great way to make marching fun and motivate the troops. BRILLIANT!
The voice of the singer has been recorded with studio-like quality.
Awesome
dude that cadence caller legit has amazing vocals.
In this song everything is great - guitar, melody, vocal. I sounds like a real almost-complete song!
My late great grandfather on my moms side was in the new zealand navy and though he didn't listen to metal he would've still appreciated this because it fits. He had dementia when he passed but I bet if I had played this for him he would've fallen in and done the cadence...funny thing is it hurt to think about him until now, metal always heals
Marching cadences w/ metal is something I didn't know I needed until now. Fuck yeah!
Sometimes the people in the video are being ridiculed by the metal, and sometimes the metal is showing respect. This is obviously the latter of the two, and it is my favorite video from this channel.
I'm in the video! In the Groupe at the back with the rolls of paper sticking out of our backpacks. I'm the first guy after the blonde girl with the roll of paper.
That must have been a great experience. I one in my company had a voice like that, and the one that did call cadence wanted a sappy mellow love song. Ugh.
I LOVE OUR NAVY !! My late brother was a 5 yr Navy veteran stationed at Midway Island Misawa Japan and China Lake ,Calif as ground supoirt for the 1st SPACE SHUTTLE !! GOD BLESS OUR SERVICE MEN GOD BLESS AMERICA !! VOTE BLUE TO PROTECT OUR VETERANS !!!
What Andre does not realise its the soldier already has this tune in his head along with his brothers !👍🏻
Sailor. He’s not a soldier because he’s in the navy
@@marcoescobar8578 as they like to call themselves sailors, i'd like to see them actually sail a sailboat
Sailor, not soldier.
We Marines also object to being called soldiers, so I'll back up my Naval brothers on this one.
After all, I don't think an Army soldier would appreciate being called an airman or a coastie, don't you think?
🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
@@davidcruz8667 It's all a big "ackthually" really, you're all soldiers. Even the pilots in the air force are soldiers, matter of factually. It's all just semantics, and I know the differences between soldier and soldier. Marines, soldiers, air force pilots, ya'll still dying for your country, and that makes you soldiers. Nothing wrong with that.
@@gandalf8216 OK, fine. I see what you're saying. But if you want to keep it friendly, as American troops we require that distinction in semantics. We have evolved way past the Roman legions of ages past. You'd hardly expect an accountant to have the knowledge and training expected from a mechanic. Yet they both perform a service, but their specialities and background are far removed from each other.
So you can call us soldiers if you want, but the two will never again be the same thing. Not by a long shot.
Generalization is fine to compartmentalize things in most people's minds, but if you really want to understand the dynamics between similar groups, you have to take into account what makes them different as well.
can we talk about how he handled the modulation at 1:53 so well
What is modulation plz help me..
@@akombalasau4022 Modulation is the process of changing the key of a piece of music. It involves shifting from one tonal center or key to another, often to create a sense of tension or release.
For example you may refer to tjis video th-cam.com/video/zc7MImrsCbo/w-d-xo.html . Simple example is available at the very beginning.
This song could genuinely be compatible in a metal album, also is it just me that feel a bit weird that while the English Queen's Guards just stood like a statue that could delete you if the need arises, the U.S. Army men just does a rap battle, a breakdance AND a karaoke in their leisure time even while marching down a road
As a U.S. Army Veteran you are absolutely correct. We did all of that in our leisure time (especially karaoke) and I’ve lead a cadence march one time in boot camp and made it funny. Everyone loved it.
@@georgeclooney3481 O:
I would like to point out the Queens Guard are not your every day run of the mil solider they have a super important job to do i imagine if you were to go to your local army base and just watch the troops you would find them doing the same stuff as us Americans
@@forsakenghost7054 No, the Guards are Infantry first and foremost. They do some extra training in drill and have different responsibilities at barracks, but they are no different to any other infantry.
It's the Irish. The Irish had what was called "the great war pipes", what we call bagpipes today. If you heard the pipes you were about to be wiped out, or your friends had just arrived to bail you out. They also had rhymes to say who they were and where they came from. In fact they are the only people who rhymed in the whole world except the Chinese. For a while the Irish were part of the british army, Its a long way to tipperary was the connaught rangers/devils own (irish regiment and most well known old cadence song), who moved so fast that they were the original "storm troopers". So the British army have a longer much deeper history of "rapping", and singing than the american. They would also dance, back then it was rare to find an Irish man who couldn't Irish dance. See the Irish were indentured servants with the indentured africans before they became slaves for life. The Irish taught them to speak english, dance, rhyme etc. Break dancing is as admitted by its originators a mix of James Brown dancing with Kung Fu films... James brown did "buck dancing" and if you google it, you will see its a dance that originated in Ireland, like tap dance etc. In Ireland its called "clogging", so break dancing is an Irish traditional dance mixed with moves seen in bruce lee movies, so its an Irish/Japanese combination. Anyway, long story short, the Irish have been singing their way to battles, dancing, and rapping, since armies were only equipped with axes and swords. It works so a lot of armies try simillar things now.
The way he says “it’s just a little... a little... a Little Rock and roll” His freaking voice is just so out of this world amazing. “A Little Rock and roll”... I can’t get the volume loud enough😡
