I wonder how many people are headbanging to this song.... not realizing exactly how true the lyrics are. Headbanging..... against a wall. The masses stare, and yet they fail to see. Draiman continues to evolve.
Disturbed knows more than they are open about. Take a good look at their songs after the "Believe" album and you'll see a pattern.
The album "Believe" itself has the same pattern. "The Sickness" was my least favorite album meaning wise. David even said something around the lines of, "Satan does not exist, he is not evil. We can beat evil by joining together" during one of their Believe album concerts, I think before they played "Dehumanized". The hidden meaning is that he's saying, "The Devil is not the source of all evil, the political leaders and government are. If we join together as one, they stand no chance".

I think that this covers a number of topics from the over dependence on social media, how programmed algorithms decide what material appears or doesn't appear in our "feed," the police state level of monitoring of the populace and the way that media of all varieties spin the news in a way that fits the particular narrative of their company.
It is somewhat suggestive that there is some sort of political message within this video though since it was posted about a week prior to the US 2016 general election. However I don't believe it was intended as a right/left thing but skewed information and falsehoods in general.

Land of Confusion: Stop letting corporate heads manipulate you with their bullshit, and start being a solution, rather than feeding the problem.
Criminal: Stop defending stigmas. I personally vouch for this one. Labelling someone a "Murderer" after releasing them only forces them into the corner that the song Criminal is about, and stigmas are to blame at the root of that.
You get the idea. Anyone whom says Disturbed is about anything more than ending bullshit and propaganda is a fool for they can only see what they call "complicated" subjects, and I already covered what it means when a fool says something is complicated: They don't have their eyes open.

this song is very eye opening. if you think about it, if you only know what goes on by watching the news or tv, the unfortunate reality is, you only know what the media wants you to know. think if you went out into the real world, you would only really care about the "news" (and i use that term loosely) of whats going on around you. but the opposite is currently true for the world right now. think about how much fulfilled your life would be if you kept track of reality and not whats being beamed into your brain from a black screen.

Listening to this in 2022 just hits different.
I only started this music, I mean listening to this music. The first was with "The Sound of Silence" now this. He was raised classical music and he is magnificent. He can cover almost 3 octaves and he is very passionate.
