On top of the arena, there are TNT blocks surrounded by stone, supporting a chunk sand. A randomizer selects random TNT blocks and makes them explode, which destroy the stone that supports the sand. When a TNT block explodes, the sand falls in a nice perfect circle.

the clearing of the field would be done by tnt dropping down and the random level creation would be done via multiple pigs or similar in pens with a pressure plate. or so i think.
Battle Mode would be sick! Check out "2013 annual Super Bomberman 2 Tournament Finals" for old-shcool action!
this is awesome i love bomberman and know they have a minecraft game of it.

The dispenser only shoots out one TNT when it is activated by the lever, not the entire inventory. All one would have to do is activate a button/lever which would make each dispenser in a respective row shoot out one of it's inventory. Thus, creating an entire hallway of explosions.

That's probably simpler than this although it might not seem so. Think about all the work in this thing, the level generation, power ups that randomly fall down etc. Calculator is a standard thing a lot of people can make and Disco probably knows how to as well. ;)

Press the Redistribute Key button above the exit. It looks like the torch has to be attached to the bottom of the block, facing straight up.
ya i agree i doubt i could make this exact replica or better but the redstone is very simple

@Sovietbanana1 There is active red stone under the obsidian blocks. Causing to instantly ignite.
id reccomend using the command block setspawn and then set your own spawn to the place where you should be

This could probably be a big game if you mcedites tnt spawners at the top. Random sand generators could create new mazes, and near sighyed potions can make this a challenging pvp map.

Just took a look at the redstone mechanics in 1.2.4. There are blocks of TNT far above the arena that are supposed to drop down when the level starts and blow up any remaining sand. Some of these are not dropping, just hanging up there and blowing up the redstone mechanics.
Hope this helps fix it.
FVDisco should work for mojang to develop new items and maps beacause this is awesome you will have a good future
People this was made a while back so he would have to REBUILD everything in order to make it shine again!
I am subbing this guy is amazing, i cant even make a simple trap without redstone showing, and he can make SLOTS with NO redstone shwing :O
